An article got viral after a Brazilian butcher admits the unethical practices of many butchers that are doing in the world.
“When we see Cancer In the Pork, We Just Cut It And Still Sell It To Customers” This was a confession by a man that was a butcher for over 30 years.
Meat cuts are expensive and butchers typically do this to not throw away the whole piece and save money. They end up cutting bad parts of the meat and sell off the race to recover some of the losses.
This article was published in the USA.
How about Singapore? Do local butchers practice the same way as butchers around the world?
There is no way to know but, if we think logically this is what we get:
“Well just imagine that you paid $1000 for a huge slab of meat. 20% of the meat has Cancer on it. Will you take the whole piece of $1000 and throw it in the trash? Or cut away the 20% and try to save at least $800.”
