A local cafe, The Ritual, recently took to Instagram to launch their Nasi Padang “creation”.

They called it “Nasi Padang without the nasties”, which of course offended a lot of people, who called them out for being culturally insensitive.

Their Nasi Padang (according to them) contains no MSG, additives, so that customers can “enjoy Indonesian flavours bursting forth minus the guilt”.

The Instagram post has since been deleted from their page and the cafe has posted an apology.
