Two individuals were killed while another is hospitalized when the car they were in collided with a pillar close to the back door of the Istana on Saturday (Dec 16) morning.

The Singapore Police Force were informed of the incident at 6.06am.
It is suspected that the vehicle was going at a high speed and the collision made a metal gate of the Istana back door being ousted and landed around 10 meters away.
“The driver, a 25-year-old man, and one traveler, a 21-year-old lady, were oblivious when they were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital,” the police said. They later kicked the bucket from their wounds.
