A video emerged online showing a red-colored Honda Vezel beating the red light at a busy traffic junction.
The incident happened on 4 December at around 10.05 am at a road junction at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
The car was seen stopped at the junction while waiting for the red light to turn green, but then it appears as though the driver had enough of waiting.
The driver then drove forward slowly, before going ahead and beating the red light.
Potential penalties
Persons found guilty of beating a red light face a fine of $400 as well as 12 demerit points; while drivers of heavy vehicles who beat the red light face a fine of $500 and 12 demerit points.
Accumulation of more than 24 demerit points within 2 years will see their licenses being suspended.
