CAR CAUGHT AT TUAS CHECK POINT!!! DONT PLAY PLAY

Midnight Concealment

Advertisements

On 23 Aug 2018, close to midnight, ICA officers noticed a visibly nervous 36-year old lone male Malaysian driver arriving at Tuas checkpoint. Sensing something amiss, officers conducted further checks and detected 176 cartons and 918 packets of duty-unpaid cigarettes hidden in various parts of the car. The case was referred to Singapore Customs for further investigations.

This method of concealment is a cause for concern as similar methods may be used by people with ill intent to smuggle security items into Singapore.
