A netizen, @aarontyz, shared a video onto his TikTok account showing a group of Certis officers walking around the estate of landed homes and purportedly handing out fines to the cars that were parked on the road.
He captioned his video: “The whole neighbourhood wasn’t happy because LTA asked all of us park somewhere else…. BUT WHERE?!?”
Illegal parking
Cars were seen in the video being parked on both sides of the road, with some also being parked against the flow of traffic.
It is unclear where the incident happened, although it does appear to be an estate in the vicinity of Sembawang Park, with most of the properties being terrace houses.
The roads all had a single white line in the middle, meaning that it is illegal to park on either side of the road.
Some neighbours have at least 3 cars, no space to park
Some netizens commented on his video, saying that his landed property has a space to park his vehicle inside.
However, the netizen shared that only one car can fit in his house, leaving him with no choice but to park his other car on the road outside his property.
He also added that most of the residents living there have “about at least three cars”.
@aarontyz the whole neighbourhood wasn’t happy because LTA asked all of us park somewhere else…. BUT WHERE?!? 🤷🏻♂️
