I was walking my dog and suddenly heard a loud thump, looked over and saw people screaming and i heard a loud meow and saw this.
Took awhile to find the owner but it is an auntie from 13 floor. And she came down 30minsutes after the incident when cat already dead.
13 FLOOR. Imagine the pain this poor cat went through… Called SPCA which directed me to AVS which took 2 hours to arrive but cat already died 30mins after incident.
When owner came down she did not ask what happened or say thanks. Instead she used a very accusatory tone and questioned if i took picture of her cat, which i replied yes because AVS and SPCA requested me to whatsapp pictures of the cat to them.
She then scolded me and ask me not to put pictures online as she did not want her daughter to see them, it seems like she wanted to hide the cats death from her daughter who is a poly student at school at time of incident.
I questioned her and asked why the cat can fall down and she tried to lie to me but ultimately confess that she was putting out clothes to dry so she left the window open.
To all pet owners, please be responsible if you want to own a pet. Your pet only has you and YOU owe it to them to take care of them to the best of your ability.
Such nonsense like leaving open window is totally inexcusable, ESPECIALLY ON 13 FLOOR. Makes me wonder if the family even meshed their windows, how can such irresponsible people be allowed to have pets?
PLEASE if you have cats or know anyone who has cats please tell them to mesh their windows and be careful to not leave any windows open to prevent such incidents from happening.
