Two cats were found with an adhesive substance on their bodies today at Yishun Blk 394 and 397.
We were not able to trap the cat from 394 as he is terrified and has gone into hiding. We are still looking for him. The cat from 397 has been admitted to the vet for treatment.
We contacted Nee Soon & Sembawang town council to check if any glue traps were used in the area. They responded immediately and verified that they had not engaged pest control and that they do not use glue traps.
We don’t know who is doing this. It is possible that this is a deliberate act of cruelty on our community cats.
We would like to appeal to residents in the area to be vigilant and look out for our cats. We have reported the case to AVA. If you have information pertaining to this, please report it to AVA via its 24-hour hotline, 1800-476-1600.
