WOMAN GOT EX-HUSBAND FIRED FROM HIS JOB AFTER HE MAKES A SCENE

0

Can’t believe I’m posting here but here I go.

I have an ex, “Richard” his 34 and I’m 29 years old. Its been 3 years since we separated due to him being abusive and cheating, but we are not divorced as divorce is expensive and whenever I apply for divorce Richard insists on meditation, so divorce is not granted as “one of us tries to save the marriage”. However, He lives with his mistress and they have kid together that was conceived when we were still together. Due to both of them harassing and abusing me, I have a restraining order against both of them. My employer is aware of all of this as the company my ex works for supplies the buildings their offices are at.

Now to the actual events:

Due to restrictions everyone is currently working from home with a few days in the office. Richard decided to show up at my work with his kid and demanded to see me for “child support” money since we are still legally married.

As my employer is aware of the situation, the reception refused to tell him if I’m in the office or not (I was) and asked Richard to leave. Richard did not and security was called. As he was with his child, security couldn’t use force to remove Richard, so reception threatened to call the company he works for.

Richard didn’t believe the reception can do it, so long story short he and his mistress were fired with immediate effect as Richard showing up at my work has been seen as gross misconduct and they discovered Richard was his mistress boss (apparently his employer didn’t know they were together and its strictly forbidden to have a relationship with someone who is directly employed by you). The company apologised for Richards actions and gave a considerable discount for their services to make sure the news of what happened wouldn’t spread.

Since they were fired I’m getting calls from unknown numbers of various Richards/his mistress family members and friends saying I’m responsible for it and just a jealous “vulgarity” for getting them fired to get Richard back.

We still have some friends in common and they believe him getting fired and loosing the only source of income they have is too harsh and I should of prevented that/shouldn’t have spoken in the beginning about what happened.

NUS GRAD EARNING $6K A MONTH, JEALOUS OF FRIENDS WHO EARN $10K

0

A netizen shared how she is earning $6k a month, on top of day trading which pays her another $200 per day – but she is still jealous of her friends who earn $8-$10k per month.

Here is the story:

“I am so torn. I have been comparing myself with others in terms of salary. And I understand usually a guy have better progressions for reasons like NS.

I graduated from NUS BBA 6 years ago. Got into a supply chain job that pays me 3k initially, it took me so much effort to get paid 6k now but somehow my surrounding friends who graduated with me are sharing that they are getting 8 to 10k already.

Not just that, they have their investment portfolio and its paying them 5k per month extra.

I tried trading crypto and stocks as well, even day trading only pays me $200 per day max. I mean what the hell?

Am I falling from the curve? How are they doing that? Can someone please share some salary advice?”

Editor’s note: What are you complaining about? You’re making about $12k in total per month…

GUY SAW GHOST OF A LITTLE GIRL, ASKED HIS SIBLINGS & THEY SAID THEY CAN’T SEE HER

0

A netizen shared how he was out one night with his siblings to buy some snacks from the supermarket when he saw a ghost of a little girl standing under a lamp post by herself.

He then asked his siblings if they could see her and they told him “no”.

Here is the story:

Alright, so where do we begin? Simple, we start when I was graduating from poly and my family threw a graduation party for me.

We were having a blast with music, food, games, jokes, and just celebrating me taking my next steps in life. One thing to note is that I never drank until I turned 21.

Anyways, I went out with my brother and sister to buy some more drinks and snacks from a nearby supermarket and I notice this random little girl, I think about 5 to 6 years old, standing by herself with her hair covering her face, under a lamp post. Mind you it’s about 11 maybe 12 at night, so no kids should be out that late.

So, I turn to my siblings and I’m like, “Oi, you got see that girl over there? Look like ghost sia HAHAHA!”

My siblings both look and say, “what girl? there’s nobody there…” and I’m looking at this little girl and insisting that she’s standing right in front of us, plain as day.

So I asked an uncle who was passing by if he sees the little girl under the lamp post, and he says nobody is there.

I immediately ran away and abandoned my siblings. And as I was running, I turned back to look at where the girl was standing and she was no longer there.

I’m 26 now and things haven’t changed much, I still have these experiences and do see “them” from time to time.

PRC COMPANY FIRES MAN ON 4TH DAY OF WORK CAUSE HE CANNOT RUN 5KM IN 30MINS

0

ShanXi, China – The man finally passed the interviews, and finally because he could not run 5 kilometers in 30 minutes, he was labeled as “not having the spirit of hard work ” and was dismissed by the company on the 4th day of the probationary period.

According to comprehensive Chinese media reports, a man surnamed Liu applied for a job as a maintenance worker at a mechanical parts company in Suzhou. After passing multiple interviews, he was successfully admitted and started a probationary period. However, less than 4 days after joining the company, Mr. Liu received a notice from the top management, requiring him to run 5 kilometers within 30 minutes, saying that this was the ultimate review of the company.

“Colleagues also warned that this was no joke and that if you didn’t run the 5K in 30 minutes, you would definitely be fired.”

The man started the audit that day in a weather of 40 degrees Celsius. After running about 800 meters, he felt that he was about to suffer from heat stroke, so he decided to give up and return to work.

The next day, the man was dismissed by the company when he went to work, saying that the man failed the long-distance running assessment stipulated by the company, and labeled him as “not having the spirit of hard work”.

The court ordered the company to pay 4,500 yuan for violations

In this regard, the man filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming that the company did not inform him that he needed to pass the physical fitness test before hiring him, so it was illegal to fire him.

The court finally ruled that the company did not clearly inform the recruitment assessment standards, and it was illegal to dismiss Mr. Liu, and the company must pay a total of 4,500 ringgit (about 7,000 RMB) in compensation to Mr. Liu.

LAN JIAO PARENTS: “GOT KID KING AH, MUST GIVE IN TO YOU AH”

0

Got kid king ah? Must give in to you ah?

I don’t understand why when some people have kids, they must make the whole world give in to them.

Family gathering must change timing to fit their schedule, food cannot be processed, must not contains this that. (Not allergy problem but the parent don’t want the kid to eat non natural food, fruits and veggie must be organic, cannot have processed food, MSG, this chemical cannot, that chemical cannot more than Xg) I hope they can let you bring chef to school and army hor, good luck!

Actually your kid so precious can don’t come, much easier for me, the host and everyone can eat whatever they want!

I also have a 7 year old myself. If schedule cannot fit, I just don’t go or I go alone or with my husband and let someone babysit. I don’t like her to eat junk food but I control what she eats instead of expecting host to offer food she can eat. Sometimes I feed her something beforehand if I know the food doesn’t suits her.

Shoo~ I invite you out of courtesy, not nice if I don’t, not like you’re the VIP. Sorry, we having steamboat, you want soup base and veggies according to your standard is not possible, you bring own food or don’t come!

Here are what netizens think:

  • Since is family not too tough to talk right u rant here they might not see or even read what the point. Some parents are really concern about good for kids but honestly the more u dun let them eat they will.crave more for it and eat when u are not aware. I Think this parents think kids will forever be 5 years old…lol
  • The same may not happen again if you say the last 3 paragraphs to the person directly.
  • Then you come here and back stab and bash them? Infront of them wayang and act like caring perfect hosts and a great friend la. Power la. You got think to work in mediacorp as an actress?

MAN DIVORCED WIFE WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER SHE REFUSED TO “GIVE HIM” ON WEDDING NIGHT

0

The marriage of a pair of newlyweds in Australia fell through after less than 24 hours. It turned out that on the wedding night, the bride was too tired and refused the groom’s courtship. She did not expect to be divorced the next day. After the woman shared this real experience in the call-in unit of the radio program, it sparked heated discussions on the Internet.

Australian radio host Abby talked about “the shortest-lived relationship” on the show. At this time, Rachel from Sydney called to reveal the shocking marriage story.

The bride said: “I didn’t even get married for 24 hours, my husband wanted a divorce, and we officially separated after 2 weeks.” Because on the wedding night, after the couple returned to the hotel room, “Unfortunately, I didn’t give him what he wanted.”

At this time, the host asked whether the so-called “wanted things” referred to “S”. Rachel replied: “Yes. We are all tired, I don’t want it, and he filed for divorce the next day.” She admitted that she was once in pain and misery, and now she can’t wait to leave her new husband.

The wedding organisers couldn’t hide their shock. She even called the groom “terrible”, “disgusting and disgusting”, “I heard that many people don’t want to have S on their wedding night because they are really tired. !”

After this interview was edited into a TikTok video by the production team, it sparked heated discussions among netizens. Many thought bride got away with it, “A man like him should stay single”, “This is absolutely insane. What a piece of S”, “You don’t owe anyone S, including your husband.”

Some people also humorously shared anecdotes about the wedding night, “My husband cried and said how much he loved me, and then fell asleep. I was pulling out 83 hairpins in my hair”, “My husband was undoing the 3 hairpins on the back of my dress. After 100 million buttons, I was exhausted, and there was no way to help me take off the skirt, which was really romantic.”

WOMAN WITH MONTHS LEFT TO LIVE, SCARED OF WHAT IS ON “THE OTHER SIDE”

0

A netizen shared how she had terminal cancer and has months left to live and is scared of what happens when she dies.

Here is the story:

“I have a cancer that can’t be cured, it’s been 2 months since I found out. My boyfriend and my parents are trying to make me as happy as possible while they can and I appreciate them for that.

I had never thought about death before, now I’m realising that.. I won’t be here in a few months..

I won’t be here in 10 years, I won’t be here in 100 years, just like I won’t be here in a 1000000000000000000000 years and the thought of this is honestly so scary.

Eternal nothingness.

I really hope there’s something else for us after we die, though I’m not too hopeful about that.

I don’t think I deserve this, I’ve tried to be a good person my whole life. I know karma does not exist, but I did nothing to deserve this.”

Editor’s note: It’s a comforting thought isn’t it? That life doesn’t end when we die but that there is something out there for us on the other side.

MAN LOST $150K OF HIS SAVINGS IN STOCKS, GF WANTS TO DUMP HIM & “CUT HER LOSSES”

0

My boyfriend (30m) lost all his savings in the stock market, I don’t know if I can stay in the relationship (30f)

My boyfriend disclosed to me that he is addicted to options trading and lost all of his savings 150k+ over the past few years.

I am in absolute shock 1) that it got this far and 2) feel conflicted about continuing the relationship.

He has a good paying job and is well driven (just became a cfa) but the stock market has become an addiction to him.

I am a 30f that has a good job, am overall financially secure and only trying to improve.

My boyfriend is seeing a therapist and I want to believe that he really wants to overcome this but I am also really struggling.

I am at the age where I want to take the next step in marriage, buying a larger home and don’t feel like he’s at the same place as me or that we have the same views on money (he is ironically a very frugal spender otherwise beyond this addiction) so we had always been on the same page.

He said he hid this from me for a long time because he was afraid I would break up with him.

I’ve been considering asking for a break or just cutting my loses and breaking up entirely. I have some triggering experience dealing with a former bf of mine back in the day.

That experience with dealing with an ex was taxing on me and my mental health. Though this situation is a little different in nature I’m worried about my mental health as i work through this with him- especially if we can’t kick this addiction together. What should I do in this situation- stay and help him through this or leave?

JOBLESS HUSBAND SLEEPS FOR 4-5 DAYS STRAIGHT, WAKE UP JUST TO EAT & PEE THEN SLEEP AGAIN

0

I (F43) want to leave husband (M39) as he sleeps for days

My husband (M,39yo) has been sleeping since Wednesday morning (around 4am) until now Sunday, 1PM. He sleeps for 4-5 days straight without doing anything now.

Yes, he sleeps during working hours and only awake maybe once or twice to go to the toilet and eat then back sleeping again.

However for the entire weekend, Saturday and Sunday… he sleeps the entire day and get so irritated and angry when when try to wake him up. He only eat once and pee once since Saturday and Sunday.

He told me he couldn’t sleep because of he is in pain from high blood pressures and pinched nerve. But I called that BS because he can’t manage his time.

He doesn’t sleep for 2-3 nights straight doing his hobby, then he sleeps for days afterwards.

As usual, both myself (F, 43yo) and my daughter (8yo) are left to do our own activities and feel so left out. I feel like a single mom and I can’t even communicate at all.

Feels completely disconnected and I grow a lot of hates towards him. I’m also very embarrassed with him, very disheartened and so depressed dealing with this situation.

Our bills are behind, our credits are all maxed up and he’s just sleeping all the time or busy doing his own things which cause a lot of mess.

I really want to leave and go but I have no money. All my salaries and side hustle goes to this family and he manages the finances now.

We’ve been together for 10 years now. In the beginning he was all kind and fun, but now things have been really challenging between us.

We can’t even talk or communicate without having arguments. I feel absolutely disconnected and so sick to have to talk to him and being treated like a door mat.

Is it too late for me to leave him and take my daughter with me?

MAN WANTS TO QUIT JOB WITHOUT GETTING NEW JOB 1ST, “NO NEED SCARED, I GOT SAVINGS”

0

Should I resign without the next job lined up?

Currently planning to leave the company but my notice period is two months. I work in tech and would need time to prepare for the next job.

The only dilemma is that the economy isn’t doing as well and I would have to get another job within the following months.

People around me have been telling me to apply first and it’s bad to have a gap in my resume. But I really feel like bouncing asap, no point hustling for something that isn’t good for my career. What would you guys do?

Edit: I have enough savings to last me 6mths and no financial responsibilities rn. Also quiet quitting isn’t really an option for me. I work in a small team.

Maybe I’m a workaholic idk I kinda enjoy having work to do. Just that the work I do isn’t the right stack/scope for my career progression.

Netizens’ comments

  1. I actually recently did that. Lol.
Mine was also 2 months notice. So when i managed to get 3 job interviews lined up, i went ahead to quit without a job. Managed to get a job within 1 month and my new company doesnt know i had tendered earlier. So i have 3 weeks break before i start the new job. Haha.
Take a look at your savings and the rate you are getting job interviews and assess it. I had enough savings to last around 3 to 4 months without a job, so i felt comfortable to quit first.
The good thing about a 2 months notice is you dont really have to tell your potential employer you’ve already quitted when you are looking for jobs in the first month cus u still have that month’s payslip to back you up.
    Good luck!
  2. I had a 3 months notice. I resigned without a job lined up. New employer eventually found out when they asked for my past 3 months pay slip – my company had this compensation structure which cut my monthly pay by 30% when I serve notice
  3. I did that. Singaporeans are NPCs and obsessed with ‘safety’. They always need something lined up and feel lost otherwise. I say f that. If you think there is no use in staying, just quit first then you can focus full time on studying preparing for technical interviews.
You need to remember that most job interviews are bullshit and you can waltz into most interviews with minimal prep. Technical interviews however need days of preparation. It could be weeks/months of preparation if it’s a stack or role you aren’t familiar with. It’s hard to prep for technical interviews (possible, but you will be more tired and scatterbrained) while still working a full-time job.
