HUSBAND INTIMIDATED BY WIFE HAVING HIGHER IQ THAN HIM, FLIRTS WITH HER SISTER

0

My husband is mad that I have a higher IQ and he says that he is not attracted to me anymore.

As the title says. He came home one day and gave me login’s to some iq test and I scored higher than him. First he was in disbelief then a bit sulky. I thought the whole thing was stupid and I never thought or experienced that I’m “smarter” and I never understood the logic of these tests.

Anyway since then he has changed. He doesn’t want to cuddle or kiss me or anything. Last Saturday we attended a birthday party for my little nephew and my husband spent the evening chatting up my SIL’s sister who is very pretty.

When we got home I just had it up to here with him and started crying because he ignored me for alt least three weeks and now he is flirting with other people.

He denied everything. He denied being changed with me since the test but I wasn’t backing down this time. I told him that I wasn’t stupid and that he stopped being affectionate since that damned day.

He finally admitted that he was turned off by the fact and wasn’t attracted to me. I asked him if he still wasn’t attracted to me and why? I haven’t changed.

I’m still me. He apologized and said that he would put his shit together and that he knows how silly this is.

But he has been ”wary” around me since. I still think he is turned off by me. What can I do now?

Netizens’ comments

  1. I hate to be this person but I couldn’t trust him anymore. Seriously, he was flirting with someone right in front of you because he’s mad that you’re smarter than him. That’s disgusting behavior. If you want it to work out then couples counseling is a must, but really ask yourself if you are attracted to him after his behavior. My spiteful @ss could never put up with some of the men on this app.
  2. Honestly if he’s this hung up on an online iq test, I probably wouldn’t be attracted to him much either.
For one, tbh this whole thing is trivial and he’s dragging it out. Secondly, to me this is a red flag, he views someone smart as unattractive.
Then he flirts with someone else right in front of you.
You should find someone smarter, who also treats you better.
  3. I mean, this behaviour really isn’t showing him as an intelligent person. Yikes.

GUY ONLY IN HIS 20S BUT STARTS BALDING, GETS CALLED “UNCLE” BY PEOPLE HIS OWN AGE

0

At what age do people accept being called “Uncle/Auntie”?

My friend who is balding was complaining of being called an uncle wherever he went, even by people our age. We are in the 20s.

I always called someone like stallholders, service staff, new neighbours etc uncle or auntie when he/she appears older than me. But I notice some of them don’t look very pleased esp those around the 30s-50s.

I thought of calling them Sir/ Mister or Madam but it sounded too formal and rarely used in the local environment.

I’d like to know at what age are people ok with being called uncle/ auntie? Are there any alternative ways to greet or address an older stranger?

Netizens’ comments

  1. People call me “oi cb”
  2. I am a grown man with a full beard, and I’ve had people call me auntie. Much worse than your friend right?
  3. Auntie in 50s I also call xiaojie. Don’t worry about the labels. Nobody means harm. Perfectly ok to be called xiaodi or uncle in 20s.
  4. Context is always important.
If you are in your twenties, but your friends (also 20s) has a kid, of course it is ok for your friend’s kids to call you uncle/auntie.
If you are a service staff, in sales or trying to do business with the other person, it is never appropriate to call them uncle/auntie even if the person looks old enough to be your father/mother.
Depending further on the environment, sir/madam may be ok. If it is informal, you can always jokingly call them shuai ge/mei nv if you are a regular customer. If first time meeting them, can call them da ge/da jie or lao ban or lao ban niang.
  5. I’ve been called aunty since I was a teen… my my baby niece lol.
I’d find it weird if some old guy called me aunty in my teens but have accepted being called maam / sister now, I am not a spring chicken
  6. there was once i boarded a grab car and without looking i called the guy uncle. he spun his head around and HELLO WHAT UNCLE! I WHERE GOT SO OLD WE LOOK SAME AGE LEIIIIII. i looked up at him n burst out laughing, apologised and called him bro instead.
now, i address the person as da ge or da jie, uncle and auntie are for elderly, grandparents kind.
  7. The problem is not “what age call what”… but rather how good are you at guessing the age. To play safe, unless you are so confident the person is at least 15 years older, don’t call him/her Uncle Or Auntie.

COUPLE HAVING FUN IN BED WHEN GF SAYS “I LOVE YOU”, BF STARTS CRYING & HIS KKJ TWITCHED

0

Made my BF cry in bed and now I feel bad.

So my BF (26m) and I (24f) have been together for two years. Our relationship is wonderful and I truly consider myself lucky to have met him. Like he’s legit my perfect dream guy.

Unfortunately though he grew up in a dysfunctional family where he was shown no affection from a young age. In fact he was shamed for wanting affection. As a result he struggles to be affectionate and romantic.

I often tell him I love him even though I don’t expect it back. (He often says “I love you” when he sleep talks, idk who he says that to though lolol)

Anyway a few days ago we were f-ing each other and he was on top. At one point I looked at him and said “I love you”.

I didn’t expect a response to this (tbh the only response was feeling his D twitch inside me) but he sort of looked at me like he felt bad for not saying it back.

I just said “it’s okay” at which point he leaned over, hugged me and started crying quietly.

I was initially shocked as I have never seen him cry and hugged him back. Afterwards I felt soooo bad for causing this to happen!

The love-making ended up being phenomenal though, he was so primal and hot. We came at the same time which hasn’t happened often.

We haven’t talked about this but he changed a little, in a good way. I don’t know what to say but I still kinda feel guilty….

Netizens’ comments

  1. Sounds like you did everything right. You helped him break out of his shell – even if it’s only a little bit. IMHO, he might have felt truly loved for the first time in his life.
  2. He is clearly DYING to be able to express this kind of thing to his partner, but is holding back because of being shamed for this desire growing up. You told him that in the middle of a very heightened emotional moment, and YOU initiated that contact first, and then you didn’t make him feel bad for his natural hesitation to reciprocate. The fact he responded by going primal on you shows everything; you don’t have to feel bad, but proud. You gave him something he’s been wanting but been starved of his whole life. Tears aren’t always bad. If he’d suddenly frozen up and retreated into him self…then you would be justified in worrying about this. He responded in the most natural way; he didn’t think, he just felt and acted.
  3. make him feel loved in all the ways you can. he’ll probably get used to this affection and love and he will feel more confident about this. and I’m super happy for you! you seem to be a very cute couple 🙂

GUY SLEPT WITH DEAD BROTHER’S GF TO COPE WITH HIS LOSS, “BENEFICIAL TO BOTH OF US”

0

Slept with my dead twin brother’s girlfriend to help cope with his loss

My twin’s death was one of the most impactful parts of my life. It was confusing, heartbreaking, and completely changed my perspective on life.

I had never experienced a death of a loved one, so my first death being my brother was extremely tough for me.

My parents became increasingly concered about me and my mental health, so she always filled our flat with people close to my brother to make me feel supported.

One of these people was my brother’s girlfriend. She lived nearby and had been dating my brother for about a year, so I saw her a decent amount, but in the months after his death she came over almost every day for supper.

Like me, she took his death pretty hard. We would comfort each other by talking about our favorite things to do with him, listen to his favorite songs, and would do anything to make it feel like he’s still here with us.

One night, while doing this exact routine we had for months, we started talking about their relationship when she told me they were active in bed.

I started bombarding her with questions, all of which she answered with little detail. After finding this out though, it was hard for me to live knowing there was a side of my brother I never got to see and only she got to see.

Over the next year or so, she became more willing to talk about the details that I was dying to know. The more time went on, the more details I got, and the closer me and her became.

It being a few years after his death now, she was an open book with me. We discussed her struggles with dating after bro’s death and how it’s hard for her to even imagine herself being with someone else after what she had been through.

One night we had come home from an outdoor concert. It was the type of cold where you could feel it in your bones. I ran to my room to grab blankets and she cuddled up towards me as we watched some TV.

It felt so natural that I had barely even noticed that what we were doing was probably abnormal. As usual, we start discussing her relationship issues and she mentions how cuddling on me felt like she was with him again.

She started crying which made me start to tear up. I embrace her more as she talks about how much she misses his touch. I would also like to note that throughout all this, I did not have feelings towards her whatsoever other than a fleeting thought here and there.

At this point though, things started to get somewhat heated, despite me not realizing it at first. She slides her hands under my sweater to embrace me tighter and simply asks “Can I?”

At this point I realize what she’s starting to imply and we started kissing. The more we did it, the more passionate it became.

We f-ed that night and it was the most natural good feeling thing I have ever experienced. This evolved into a full on relationship that was cut short by me having to leave for uni.

However, it seemed that whatever she got from our short-lived relationship helped her get over my brother, as she was in a relationship shortly after I left.

She also seemed to be much happier from the few conversations we’ve had since. Our “relationship” also helped me cope with his death in a weird way since she was there for me throught my entire greiving process.

It felt like closing a chapter on a tough time in my life. Not sure how immoral it was but in the end it was largely beneficial to both of us.

CRIME PREVENTION TIPS

Police would like to share some steps you can take to keep yourself and all our loved ones safe.

  1. Be alert and attentive to your surroundings, especially when you are in a crowded and confined space (i.e. in public entertainment night spots, in lifts, MRT, buses etc.) or alone with a stranger that moves very near to you.
  2. If someone rushes into the lift at the last minute and you are alone, it is safer to step out and take the next one.
  3. If someone is following you, head to a crowded area; if someone moves uncomfortably close to you (e.g. someone deliberately stands or sits close to you in a bus or MRT), move away if possible.
  4. Avoid going out at night alone. If you have to, go out in a group or get someone (parent, close friend) to accompany you.
  5. Avoid letting your young children wander around alone, teach them to be wary and move away from strangers who try to get close to or touch them.
  6. Consider investing in a shrill alarm for you and your loved ones as they can come in handy to sound for help during emergencies.

ELDERLY CAR DRIVER KILLED AFTER LORRY CRASHED INTO 2 VEHICLES @ UPP THOMSON RD

In a heartbreaking incident on the 7th of July, a 70-year-old man lost his life after sustaining severe injuries in an accident along Upper Thomson Road.

The collision involved a lorry that crashed through a divider, colliding head-on with the man’s car and impacting a nearby van.

Dashcam footage captured the terrifying sequence of events leading to the accident. As the dashcam vehicle traveled along Upper Thomson Road towards Lornie Road, a lorry from the opposite direction suddenly broke through the divider.

The impact was catastrophic, sending tree branches and leaves flying everywhere, and causing a full-force collision with an unsuspecting car in the adjacent lane.

The force of the impact then pushed the car into a van, compounding the damage and further endangering the lives of those involved.

Upon receiving an alert at approximately 10:10 am, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) promptly dispatched officers to the scene.

They discovered that the elderly driver of the car was trapped in the driver’s seat, requiring immediate medical attention. SCDF paramedics provided vital medical assistance, stabilizing the man’s injuries while rescuers worked tirelessly to free his legs, which were trapped under the dashboard.

The rescue operation required the use of hydraulic rescue equipment to cut and remove the car’s roof, allowing for the safe extrication of the injured driver.

Following the rescue operation, the injured driver was swiftly conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Throughout the journey, paramedics continued to provide necessary care to the patient.

Two other individuals involved in the accident were also assessed by paramedics for minor injuries. However, they declined further medical attention and transportation to the hospital.

Despite the efforts of the medical professionals and emergency response teams, the 70-year-old driver’s injuries proved to be fatal.

The victim, who remained conscious during the journey to the hospital, tragically passed away while receiving treatment.

The police have arrested the 26-year-old lorry driver responsible for the incident on charges of careless driving causing death. Investigations are currently ongoing.

MAN ASSAULTS 10 Y.O STEP-DAUGHTER UNTIL HOSPITALISED, LIFT HER UP & THROW HER ON FLOOR

0

A man who was already under police investigation for mistreating his 10-year-old stepdaughter continued to subject her to physical mistreatment, resulting in her hospitalization.

On Friday, the 33-year-old man pleaded guilty to two counts of ill-treating a child and was subsequently sentenced earlier today (7 July) to 12 months in jail. Another similar charge was considered during the sentencing process.

To protect the victim’s identity, the accused’s name and the location of the home cannot be disclosed.

The victim, who is now 12 years old, is the biological daughter of the accused’s wife. The accused and his wife have been living together since 2014. Court documents revealed that the first incident occurred on February 8, 2019, when the man lifted the girl and threw her to the floor twice, causing bruises on her elbow and lower back.

Despite being under investigation for this offense, he continued to use physical force against her. According to Deputy Public Prosecutor Benedict Teong, on August 9, 2021, after returning home from work around 8:30 PM, the accused asked the girl if she had eaten the spaghetti that had been cooked earlier in the day. She initially claimed to have eaten it, but he later discovered it uneaten in the microwave.

DPP Teong stated, “(The accused) then asked the victim about it and the victim kept quiet. The accused then became angry, perceiving that the victim was lying.” He proceeded to kick her, causing her to fall, and even stepped on her body, assuming she was merely pretending.

Eventually, she apologized to him. Later that night, around 11:40 PM, she approached him and requested medicated oil for her injuries. While applying the oil, he noticed a bruise on her body.

The next day, the mother came home from work and smelled medicated oil before finding out that the girl had been kicked by her stepfather.

Despite being under investigation once again, the man committed another offense five months later.

On January 29, 2022, at approximately 6 PM, the man saw the victim using an iPad, which the girl said that she had only begun using it, but her sister told the man that she gave her the iPad earlier that morning. Enraged by what he perceived as a lie, he kicked her twice on the left side of her body.

“The second time he kicked her, she fell to the ground and hit her head on the edge of a speaker placed on the floor, causing a deep cut above her right eyebrow,” explained DPP Teong. Fearing the severity of the injury, he used a towel to stop the bleeding and called for an ambulance.

He falsely claimed that the girl had been injured by glass. The victim sustained a 4cm gash over her right eyebrow and a bruise on her left side, requiring stitches and a 10-day hospitalization.

DPP Teong argued that the accused had deliberately engaged in acts likely to cause unnecessary physical harm, constituting ill-treatment of his stepdaughter. Offenders convicted of ill-treating a child can face a maximum fine of $8,000 or up to eight years’ imprisonment, or both.

SICKO LANDLORD @ TPY HDB USED TENANT’S PANTIES TO PCC, CAUGHT ON CCTV & POLICE ALERTED

0

A disturbing incident involving a Malaysian woman renting a room in Singapore has resulted in a police report. The woman discovered through surveillance camera footage that her landlord had entered her room while she was away, and used her underwear for his own gratification, according to Shin Min Daily News.

The 23-year-old woman, who was residing on the third floor of Block 251 Kim Keat Link in Toa Payoh with her boyfriend, received a notification on her phone at 2:30 PM on May 17, indicating that someone was in her room.

To her shock, she discovered that the person in her room was her landlord. He had allegedly entered the room while she was at work, tampered with her underwear, and engaged in inappropriate behavior with it. Overwhelmed by the situation, the woman could not hold back her tears and felt compelled to capture the incident on video as evidence.

The woman promptly filed a police report on the same evening to report the trespassing and disturbing act. However, despite the evidence and the severity of the situation, the woman’s boyfriend stated that the landlord and his wife showed no remorse. Additionally, they refused to refund the room deposit of S$1,900 or return the rent for that month. Subsequently, the couple moved out and found alternative accommodation.

It is worth noting that the woman and her boyfriend had been renting the unit since June 2022 and had lived there for nearly a year. The flat housed a total of six people, including the married Singaporean couple who were the owners of the flat, as well as another Malaysian couple.

The discovery of the landlord’s inappropriate behavior was not accidental. Prior to the incident, the woman and her boyfriend had been warned about the landlord bringing people to the flat while the tenants were absent. As a result of this advice, they installed surveillance cameras in the room.

Following the distressing incident, the woman decided to dispose of all her underwear due to uncertainty about which ones had been tampered with. She also took the precaution of washing all her clothes. The traumatic experience caused her to suffer from nightmares and fear whenever she encountered individuals resembling her landlord.

Furthermore, her work performance declined, leading to difficulties with concentration and multiple absences from her job. However, with the assistance of professional help, she has made progress in her recovery.
