I recently had a conversation with my Johor girlfriend about her struggles as a single mother.

She was telling me about how she’s trying to save money and how she’s been looking for a Singaporean to take care of her child for a lower cost. At first, I was shocked to hear her say this. It seemed like she was taking advantage of Singaporeans just because we have a better currency.

I asked her why she was doing this and she said that she was just trying to save money and make ends meet. She said that she was looking for a Singaporean because she knew they would be more reliable and less likely to take advantage of her. She said that it was her only option and that she was desperate.

I felt really bad for her and I wanted to help.

However, I couldn’t help her directly since I was in Singapore and she was in Johor. So, I asked her if there was anything else I could do to help.

That’s when she told me about her plan. She said that if she could find a Singaporean who was willing to take care of her child for a lower cost, she would be able to save money and pay her bills. She said that she was desperate and this seemed like the only way she could make it work.

I was appalled to hear her say this. I couldn’t believe that she was willing to take advantage of Singaporeans just because we have a better currency. I told her that just because we have a better currency doesn’t mean that we should get exploited.

I told her that she should find someone who is willing to help her out of the kindness of their heart, not just because they are getting paid less.

I remember when my son was a little boy and I would take him to the park, the beach, and the library, and I would be so proud of his wonder and awe at the world around him.

He was so curious and eager to learn, and I would spend hours talking to him and teaching him about the world.

But now, as he’s grown up, I can’t help but feel a little disappointed in what he’s learning. My son spends most of his time on TikTok and Instagram, and I just don’t believe he’s getting the same quality of learning as he used to.

The other day I asked him what he’d learned from his time on those platforms, and he said, ‘I learned how to do a dance move and how to make a cool video’. I was a bit shocked. I had been hoping he’d learned something of value, but instead it was just all about entertainment and fun.

It’s not just TikTok and Instagram either. My son spends a lot of time on YouTube, and I’m concerned that he’s learning a lot of bad information. He’ll watch videos of people giving advice on how to do things like fix a car or repair a computer, but I’m afraid he’s not learning from experts with real experience. Instead, he’s learning from people who may not really know what they’re talking about.

I’ve tried to talk to him about this, but he just seems to think I’m old-fashioned and out of touch. He’s a teenager, and I know he needs to be allowed to explore and learn about the world in his own way, but I’m worried that he’s not getting the best information.

I want to encourage him to learn from different sources, but it’s hard to compete with the instant gratification and entertainment of social media. I know it’s important to stay up to date with trends, but I also believe it’s important to learn from reliable sources.

I know I can’t stop him from using social media, but I can at least try to point him in the right direction and encourage him to look for more reliable sources of information. I can also make sure he has access to other activities like reading, going to the library, and joining clubs that encourage learning.

My son is an amazing young man, and I’m so proud of him. I just want to make sure he’s getting the best education he can, and I’m afraid he’s not getting that from TikTok and Instagram. He deserves to learn from reliable sources that will give him real knowledge and help him grow and develop.

I had been in a relationship with my girlfriend for 2 weks when I made a shocking discovery that left me with no other choice but to break up with her.

Midnight

It was something that I never expected to find out about her, something that I had no idea existed until that moment.

I was visiting her at her home one day when I saw something that made me uncomfortable and scared. Her nipple was black in color, like midnight darkness.

At first, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I had never seen anything like it before. It was a stark contrast to the rest of her body, which was fair and creamy. I was so taken aback by the sight of it that I couldn’t help but think of Voldemort from Harry Potter.

His dark, menacing look had always been a part of his character, and seeing my girlfriend’s black nipple seemed to bring the same kind of fear.

It was at that moment that I knew I had to break up with her. I had never been attracted to someone with such a “unique” physical feature, and it was just too much for me to handle. I was so turned off by the sight of it that I knew I couldn’t continue in the relationship. I knew it would be hard to break it off with her, but I knew I had to do it in order to protect my own mental wellbeing.

So, I decided to break up with her. It was an incredibly difficult conversation to have, and it was hard to tell her the truth about why I was ending the relationship.

I told her that I wasn’t comfortable with the way she talk and that I didn’t feel like I could continue in the relationship. I tried to be as gentle as possible, but I still had to be honest about why I was ending things.

Ultimately, she understood why I was breaking up with her. She accepted my decision and was surprisingly understanding about the whole thing.

But she started to ask is it because of her black nipple. She told me that she had been self-conscious about her black nipple for a long time, and she was relieved that I had finally said something about it. We parted on good terms and agreed to remain friends.

My boss is really a CB!

I was totally shocked when my boss announced that he was threatening to fire all the local employees and replace us with cheaper foreign workers if we didn’t work overtime.

I had been a loyal employee at the company for 10 years, and I felt like my hard work was being taken for granted.

I knew my boss was tough, but I never expected him to make such a threat. He was saying that if we didn’t work over-time, he would hire cheap foreign talents instead. This was a huge shock to all of us, and it made me feel angry and betrayed.

The number of foreign talents in Singapore has been increasing in recent years, and I understand that businesses need to be competitive to survive. But I also feel that some employers are exploiting this situation by taking advantage of the cheaper labour.

Singaporeans work hard and often put in long hours, but we don’t always get the recognition or respect we deserve. We are often asked to do more than our fair share and we don’t get the same benefits or salary as the foreign workers. We are also constantly under pressure to perform, while the foreign workers get away with doing less.

It’s unfair that local Singaporean employees are being threatened with losing their jobs just because they don’t want to work overtime. We work hard, and deserve to be treated with respect.

It’s time for employers to stop exploiting foreign workers and start investing in their local workforce. They need to recognize the value of their local employees and reward them with competitive salaries and benefits.

If employers continue to threaten their local employees with the prospect of being replaced by cheaper foreign workers, then Singaporean employees will start to feel less and less motivated to work hard. This will only lead to a decrease in productivity and morale in the workplace, which is not good for business.

It’s time for employers to start valuing the skills and hard work of their Singaporean employees. We all want to see a better Singapore, and it starts with treating our local employees fairly. If employers continue to take advantage of foreign workers, then they will only be hurting their own businesses in the long run.
