MAN TESTED POSITIVE AFTER VISITING “CHICKEN” ALONG THOMSON RD

0

A confession message was sent to Singaporean Uncensored by an anonymous man stating how he contracted COVID-19 after he visited a “massage lady” and warn others not to visit illegal establishments.

Here is the message:

As much as I want to keep quiet about this, I have to share this message with all the men or women out there who frequent this kind of service.

This happened on Feb 17, I was feeling a bit “needy” and I went online and booked a woman located along Thomson road. During our intense exercise session, both the “chicken” and I was in the moment and it felt really good.

We kissed each other which is normally considered taboo in the industry and even worse now during the pandemic.

After enjoying my massage, I was happy and went home.

Two days later (Feb 19), here I am sending you my message of shame. A light line appeared on my ART test kit beside the solid line and I was getting sore throat, flu and body aches.

I was in disbelief, thinking the light line is because of a faulty kit and I did a second test which showed a single line. To play safe, I went to queue at a clinic near my home, after 2 hours It was finally my turn and the results were positive.

In my heart, I was thinking… Did I give it to the “chicken” or did the “chicken” gave it to me.

To all the men and women out there who might or are thinking to procure this kind of service I think it’s best we avoid them.

MAN THREW HOT SOUP AT HAWKER BECAUSE OF WRONG ORDER, FINED $5K

0

A 28-year-old Singapore Armed Forces regular, Kelvin Tan Chun Long, pleaded guilty to one charge of causing hurt by a rash act and was fined $5,000 yesterday, the maximum fine.

He had flung a plastic bag that had a container of hot soup at a hawker assistant because they prepared fried bean curd for him instead of fried bean curd skin.

Tan, who holds the rank of a captain in the SAF, is currently suspended from service as MINDEF and the SAF are reviewing his case for the purpose of discharge proceedings.

What happened

Tan was at a coffee shop in Woodlands Drive 71 buying food to takeaway at the victim’s stall on 6 June 2020 at about 1pm.

He returned to the stall about 15 minutes later to collect his food and as a result of a miscommunication between Tan and the victim, the stall prepared the wrong order.

Tan then became unhappy when the victims told him that the order cannot be redone as it had already been cooked.

Tan then pushed a plastic bag that had his order inside and it fell onto the floor, he then walked towards the nearest table where all the other food that he bought from other stalls were.

He then picked up and flung a plastic bag that had a container of hot soup in it towards the victim as he reached the table.

The plastic bag and container inside then hit the victim’s body, resulting in the soup spilling onto her and she then felt a burning feeling on her right waist.

Tan then walked away but some of the witnesses gave chase to him, and he then apologised to the victim.

A police report was then made by a police officer who was patrolling.

The victim suffered a superficial partial-thickness burn wound on her right abdomen and was given 3 days MC.

HALIMAH YACOB SUPPORTS DRAWING $6B FROM RESERVES, “COVID NOT OVER”

0

Singapore President Halimah Yacob gave her support to the drawing of $6 billion from the country’s past reserves for public health spending in 2022, saying that the Covid-19 battle is not over.

Here is her statement

The world has come a long way in our battle against COVID-19. Many countries have introduced iterations of measures to counter the COVID-19 variants. Some, like Sweden and Denmark, have recently declared the pandemic as over.

In Singapore, we are calibrating our re-opening in a phased approach. There is still much uncertainty in how the situation will evolve, so we need to balance the impact of our decisions on public health and our economy.

I am heartened to see Singaporeans and businesses adapting to this new normal. More people are now able to resume their daily activities. Our parks and neighbourhoods are bustling with people and activities, going about with their lives in a socially responsible and safe manner.

This is possible because we have attained a high vaccination rate, and with the people’s support for the measures.

Last month, Health Minister Mr Ong Ye Kung, Trade and Industry Minister Mr Gan Kim Yong, Finance Minister Mr Lawrence Wong and their officials came to brief me and the Council of Presidential Advisers on our public health situation, economy and Budget 2022.

We had a good discussion around the capabilities and strategies for Singapore to ride the COVID-19 wave safely.

I have given my in-principle support for the Government to draw $6.0 billion from Past Reserves for COVID-19 public health spending in FY2022. The COVID-19 battle is not over.

Public health spending remains a priority in our efforts for Singapore to continue to re-open and recover. We must avoid major sacrifices in lives and businesses.

While the outlook is still uncertain, I am confident that if Singaporeans continue to stay united and brave the fight against COVID-19, we will emerge stronger and ready for future challenges.

THOSE WHO EARN BETWEEN $500K TO $1M WILL PAY 24% INCOME TAX FROM 2021

0

Minsiter of Finance Lawrence Wong delivered his Budget 2022 statement earlier and announced a few changed to the tax system of Singapore.

With effect from the year of assessment 2024, persons who earn between $500,000 to $1 million will need to pay an income tax rate of 23% for the portion of chargeable income in excess of $500,000.

For persons who earn more than $1 million, they will have to pay an income tax of 24% for the portion of chargeable income in excess of $1 million.

At the moment, persons who earn more than $320,000 have to pay a personal income tax of 22%.

The updated increase in income tax is set to affect the top 1.2% of personal income tax payers, and is set to raise extra tax revenue of about $170 million each year.

Wong said:

“The portion of chargeable income in excess of S$500,000 up to S$1 million dollars will be taxed at 23 per cent, while that in excess of S$1 million will be taxed at 24 per cent, both up from 22 per cent today.”

TAXI DRIVER THINKS HIS CAR IS A BICYCLE, DRIVE ON PARK CONNECTOR

0

A video emerged online showing a ComfortDelgro taxi somehow ending up on a park Connector at Ulu Pandan.

The incident happened on 17 February and was uploaded onto Facebook yesterday at 11am.

The taxi driver was seen stopping and blocking the path of a cyclist who was cycling along the park connector, apparently the taxi driver realised that the PCN was not a road.

The driver then attempted to reverse out of his predicament, presumably under the impression that he could go-stun his taxi out of trouble.

The cyclist then had to reverse as well.

Several pedestrials were seen to be quite confused at what was unfolding before their eyes and made a double take to confirm that they were not walking on the road.

The taxi driver then drove up a pedestrian ramp to get out of the PCN, as a woman stood by the side of the ramp and tried to comprehend what was going on.

It is not clear whether the taxi driver managed to get out or not, but legend has it that he is still driving around the PCN and trying to find his way out to this day. (lol)

SECURITY GUARD ALLEGEDLY REFUSED TO LEND CHAIR TO FAINTING WOMAN

0

A Facebook user, Sharina Bynes Sin, shared how a woman was fainting and the security guard allegedly refused to let her sit on an empty chair.

Here is the story

If someone needs help, would you help them?

An acquaintance from the building said she was “seeing stars” and feeling faint and in pain and needed to sit down while waiting for the car to pick her to send her to the doctor.

I brought her to the corner of the building where I saw an empty chair. Makes sense to sit down and it’s nearest to the pick-up point of the building. Told the security uncle that it’s an emergency and acquaintance is about to faint.

Surprise surprise, he said “cannot sit here. Nestle don’t allow.”

1. It’s 7pm, after office hours, the chair is not occupied. And we just need it for a few minutes.

2. You see an emergency happening, and you refuse to LEND a chair?

Soooo, if this person faints cuz she doesn’t have the energy, will this be on the uncle who refuses to help? Or on Nestle?

A lady from Nestle approached me and said “oh we are expecting guests so we would like to keep the space empty.”

Uhhhhh….is your guest going to sit at that corner? Would you prefer to have your guests arrive with someone fainted in the middle of the floor or with ambulance around? What kind of dumb excuse is that?

Shouldn’t a security guard be aware of emergencies and be able to weigh risks quickly?

Maybe they have some special protocol for an empty chair. Whatever it is, there’s no compassion here. Nestle just earned a bad rep in my books. I guess no more Milo for me.

BUS DRIVER ALLEGEDLY REJECTED WHEELCHAIR-BOUND PASSENGER

0

A Facebook user, Fei Fei, shared how she was waiting for the bus with her son, maid and wheelchair-bound mother.

Her mother was then rejected from boarding the bus by the driver who told her that there was another bus coming.

Here is the story

Today 18 Feb 2022, I was waiting for bus 29 at the bus stop near block 496F Tampines after fetching my son from school with my maid and my wheelchair-bound mum.

At 1 pm, bus 29 arrived. We flagged the bus but the bus driver at first rejected to let my wheelchair-bound mother board the bus and ask us to wait for another bus which is 13mins away but he claimed that it was coming. So I asked why?

He replied that there are too many students boarding the bus. I cannot accept the reason as the bus is almost empty while he sits there boarding the students. Why did he reject us?

So I took out my phone and prepare to snap a photo of the bus! THEN the bus driver then stood up and walk out of his seat and let us board the bus!

I am totally outraged by the bus services provided today.

Let’s be fair!

The Public transport services should give us a clear answer. Can the bus driver refuse to onboard the wheelchair person while he is onboarding other passengers or not? If yes, then y there is a wheelchair priority area in the bus?

3 Y.O SAYS “HELLO” TO FRIEND IN NEW HOME BUT NO ONE IS THERE

0

We moved into our house when our son was three years old.

First night in the house, it was only my son and me because my husband was away for a work. Got us ready for bed, and then as I’m about to turn off the kitchen lights and head down the hallway to the bedrooms, which was still lit as well (so, low light was not an issue), my son says hello to a friend suddenly.

Child saw many people who were not there

He called everyone, including strangers, „friends“ back then, and I asked who he was talking to. I was more worried about break ins, and I couldn’t see anyone that he could have been talking to. He told me he was talking to a friend, and if he was making eye contact, the friend’s eyes were at the same height as his.

Even though I saw nothing and immediately realized that this was possibly a paranormal event, I didn’t panic at all, and I started asking questions calmly and cheerfully, like whether the friend is in the house right now (yes), what his friend’s name is (unknown), if the friend said anything (no answer), and if he has seen his friend before or if this is a new friend (no answer). My son mostly just stared at the friend, and he said hello again at my suggestion. I then I asked him if he could touch his friend. My son took one step forward, stuck his hand out, and slowly moved his hand in front of himself.

He then said no, he couldn’t touch his friend. I couldn’t even see anything at all this whole time. I asked a few moments later if his friend was still there. My son said he was gone, but he couldn’t give me an answer when I asked where the friend went. Some of the unanswered questions may have come down to comprehension because of his age. We both went to bed, and I was able to convince myself that it was nothing to worry about. We were tired from moving all our stuff in as well. Fell asleep quickly.

There’s not anything here that gives me bad vibes, and nothing else has happened since then that I know of, except possibly a minor, probably unrelated and possibly not even paranormal thing that doesn’t give me ill vibes either. The neighbors are very positive about the previous owners, who seemed to live nice lives and lived in this house for many decades before their health declined (but they are still living).

A relative I told about this event thinks it may be something to do with a vision of a friend from a past life since my son was still so young and since I couldn’t see anything. This relative’s sister (so, another relative of mine too) had a somewhat similar event when she was a child, and she does not recall it. Her parents told her when she was much older. I’ve never asked my son about it again because I don’t want to scare/concern him by fixating on it. This happened nearly two years ago now, and my son does bring up very specific memories randomly from 2-3 years ago in our old house, but again, I just don’t want to concern him, which is also why I remained calm and cheerful during this encounter. I also did not want to upset our possible visitor since perhaps we had caused a disturbance by moving in, and I prefer to show respect.

My family has had some possibly mild paranormal experiences over the years, and I always appreciated my mom for telling us to not be afraid and to gather and remember as much as we can about these experiences. One of my mom’s relatives has even jumped in front of floating entities simply to see what would happen. Most of us have science degrees and such, and this stuff makes no sense to us, but we want to learn as much as we can about it.

I always worry about hauntings before moving in, but nothing has ever happened right away, nor like that before. Most places wind up totally uneventful in the paranormal realm, despite very bizarre local lore and histories and despite some other people living in such places being completely convinced that the local area is severely haunted.

If anyone has any ideas on what this could’ve been or similar stories, I’d love to hear.
