A lost little parrot who was apparently injured, flew onto a girl’s head along Bedok North Street 3.
It was as if the bird knew that the girl could help it find its owner, as the girl is actually a parrot owner herself.
The girl shared a video of the incident onto TikTok.
The bird saw the girl near a bus stop and immediately flew onto her head.
The bird had a broken leg and was taken to a vet where it was diagnosed.
The girl then put up notices about the lost bird in lost and found pet forums.
Eventually, the cute little birdie got reunited with its owner, when a viewer of the girl’s TikTok video knew of a woman who runs a shop in Bedok North with a missing parrot got in touch.
In his national televised speech yesterday (31 May), Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said that for years to come, Singapore should expect small outbreaks of Covid-19 from time to time as the coronavirus is expected to remain with us and become an endemic in the world.
PM Lee also explained why Singapore’s strategy towards Covid-19 had to be readjusted, and he described what life would be like once the pandemic is over.
“In this new normal, we will have to learn to carry on with our lives even with the virus in our midst.”
“Our aim must be to keep the community as a whole safe, while accepting that some people may get infected every now and then. Just as we do with the common flu or dengue fever, which we now manage through public health measures and personal precautions.”
“One day, this global pandemic will subside. But I do not expect Covid-19 to disappear.”
PM Lee then added that in a post pandemic world where Singapore has to live with Covid-19, we cannot completely close our borders because “we need food, essential supplies, workers, business and other travellers to keep on flowing. We must stay connected to the world, with effective safeguards and border restrictions to keep Singaporeans safe.”
He said that Singapore’s priority is to get through this pandemic and position ourselves strongly for the future.
He described the new world with Covid-19 not dominating our lives and the people mostly vaccinated and possibly taking booster shots each year.
Also, our borders will reopen safely and visitors will again come to Singapore.
Singaporeans will travel again to countries where the coronavirus is under control.
And although we are some ways off from that, we are heading in the right direction.
Singaporean YouTuber Sneaky Sushii uploaded a Mr Beast-esque video earlier last month, where he made his friends play a game for a chance to win $200 or a “car”.
One of his friends won the “car”, and she thought she really won a real car (lol) but it turned out to be a battery powered toy car instead, while her other 2 friends won $200.
The catch of winning the “car” is this; she needs to drive it through a McDonald’s Drive Thru to order some food.
She was then seen turning into the Drive Thru in her toy car and the result is hilarity on steroids.
A video emerged online showing a group of Ah Bengs and Ah Lians having an alcohol party at what appears to be a club, to celebrate one of their friends’ birthday.
They were seen in a group of 5 people.
They were even seen using a wad of money as a fan to fan themselves.
