Recently, a photo surfaced on the internet and spread like wildfire, allegedly of the satay man who visited KTV.

However, the man in the photo has since come out to debunk the stories.

He said “you online people damn cheebye, I buibui satayman only” and that he is not the “hum sup lo” who went to the KTV.

A netizen posted a video of pigeons feasting at a hawker centres table captioned “This is the reason why we need to impose the law. Sigh.”.

However, netizens were quick to refute his argument by saying “there are leftovers left, even if you return to tray station, the same thing would have happened though different location.”

A netizen agreed with the tray argument and said that she had seen the birds gathered at the tray collection points.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) is investigating cases at Hong Lim Market & Food Centre (531A Upper Cross St) and Jurong Fishery Port.

There are at least 7 cases linked to this cluster. Visitors who have been to Jurong Fishery port between July 3 and July 16 will be tested and Visitors to Hong Lim Market & Food Centre are also advised to monitor their health closely, and minimise social interactions as far as possible, for 14 days from their last date of visit.

Free testing will be provided to those who have been to Hong Lim Market.

Individuals who develop any COVID-19 symptoms should see their doctor immediately.  While close contacts of the confirmed cases who are at higher risk of infection have already been identified through contact tracing, MOH is offering a fully-funded COVID-19 PCR test to individuals who had visited Hong Lim Market & Food Centre to pre-emptively mitigate any potential risk of wider, undetected community transmission.

According to the Ministry of Health over 400 nightlife establishments that “became” food and beverage (F&B) outlets will face suspensions for at least 2 weeks from 16 July 2021.

Within the community, MOH detected a number of clusters in multiple KTV lounges or nightclubs that had pivoted to operate as Food & Beverage (F&B) establishments.

This came after a worrying KTV cluster disrupted the lives of many and the ministry is doing as much as it can to curb the spread of COVID-19.

There are over 400 such establishments, and they will be individually notified about the suspension. During this period, MOH will test all the staff of these establishments. We will also inspect the SMM protocols in these establishments, and ensure these are properly implemented before they are allowed to resume F&B operations

After the two weeks suspension, they are required to be inspected and fit safety measures before allowing to reopen.
