According to media reports, a 31-year-old woman was arrested after she was suspected of locking up a residential unit local at Jurong West Street 32 on the 23rd of Sept 2019.
The residential unit was locked up with a bicycle lock. The police believes that this was a case of loanshark harassment.
In Singapore, camera are everywhere.
The police investigated in the incident with the help of Police camera and enquiries. The suspected was identified and arrested 8 days later at Havlock Square.
The police later found out that the woman was also involved with other similar cases island wide. If convicted the woman the woman will be facing at least $5000 fine and up to $50,000 along with mandatory jail time of up to 5 years.
The police also advice members of the public to stay away from loansharks.
