Everyday road jam. Are our younger generation being too pampered nowadays? Are kids from Eunoia JC 16-19 years old or 6-9 years old? Why every morning they still need school bus to send them to school? They cannot go to school themselves is it? Is this how a JC teach their kids?
Look at the roads along Mount Sinai in the morning, jammed at least 30-40 buses waiting to enter and exit Eunoia JC premises!
How are we going to depend on them to be independent if they still need to be spoon fed at this age? For the boys, after their A levels, they are going to serve the nation, if they are so spoon fed and dependent, how can we rely them to defend our country? As for the girls, do they need their spouses or parents to drive them to work and home everyday?
So why JC kids still need school bus? They cannot go to school themselves? I will share this with the ministry of education to see if it is the correct way of teaching these students.
What is the world going on now? So not only parents are pandering their children, even JCs also.
The Police have arrested a 20-year-old man for his suspected involvement in six cases of loanshark harassment at various locations in Singapore, of which three cases involved loanshark harassment by fire.
On 10 August 2018, Police were alerted to three separate cases of loanshark harassment by fire, where the doors of the residential units were set on fire. Through investigation, Police identified and located the suspect, and arrested him within 24 hours.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was also believed to be involved in at least three other cases of loanshark harassment by splashing paint.
The suspect will be charged in court on 11 August 2018 for unlicensed moneylending harassment by setting fire.
Under the Moneylenders Act (Revised Edition 2010), offenders found guilty of acting on behalf of an unlicensed moneylender, committing or attempting to commit any acts of harassment shall be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years, a fine of not less than $5,000 and not more than $50,000, and shall also be liable to caning of not less than three and not more than six strokes.
The Police have adopted a zero tolerance approach against loanshark harassment, especially acts of harassment that caused damage and endangers lives of innocent victims.
Offenders will be swiftly tracked down and arrested, and will also dealt with severely in accordance with the law.
Members of the public are advised to stay away from loan sharks and not to work with or assist the loan sharks in any way.
The public can call the Police at ‘999’ or the X-Ah Long hotline at 1800-924-5664 if they suspect or know of anyone who could be involved in illegal loansharking activities.
The Police are appealing for the next-of-kin of 52-year-old Mr. Lau Hock Kim to come forward.
Mr. Lau, a former resident at Blk 89 Redhill Close, had passed away on 8 August 2018 at Singapore General Hospital.
Anyone with information is requested to call the Police hotline at 1800-255-0000 or submit information online at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
Yet another fight occurred at the ever-colorful Geylang, multiple police vehicles, and an ambulance was seen on the scene.
After police arrive at the area, the area is cordoned off to prevent bystanders from going near the area. Geylang is always in the spotlight when it comes to illegal activities.

I have just received my Aug bill.
For the past 3 (THREE) (!!!) months, I have been calling in to your customer service team COUNTLESS times to request to correct the billing charges for my new broadband plan that I just signed up this year. It’s been 3 (THREE) (!!!!) bill cycles, and the wrong charges is still NOT reversed yet.
I have been promised that the relevant billing dept will call me back. It’s been 3 months (!!!) when can this EVER be corrected? I repeated to the customer service team many times, and I repeat AGAIN now, I will NOT make ANY payments until your billing team FINALLY get this corrected and have the decent courtesy and be professional enough to drop me an official letter or email.
Do NOT interrupt any of my services in the meantime, it’s not my fault. I want to make payment, but only when YOU guys get the bill RIGHT! Please be professional and contact me ASAP but only AFTER everything has been RECTIFIED.
Is Singaporean easy to get bully now? This story is very long but I really need someone to judge for me
Seeking a new Job now is so hard.
I have a qualification of GCE `N’ Level, I know its very low. As I have been working part time when I’m studying to help support my family and straight started a Full Time job at a HealthCare Company for two years after my exam. Afterwards, I left and worked at other companies . Some unfair and unacceptable reason of sacking me happens too.
The main reason that I’m writing in here is to let others beware of this company . They just want super Talented person that know everything when go in and okay to get a cheap rate salary. 10+hours work for $50.
Once again I seeked for a full time job and went to interview at Gadget Mix HQ during the start of Aug .The HR is not around when I reach and I was interviewed by a china lady .I told her I did not sold those gadgets before but I am willing to learn. She say chances they will definitely give me maybe try 3 days like that if cannot ,they still got the other type of shop that is more on doing stock and could let me try too. (*Do note that Diginut , Gadget Mix &Remax is all by the same China Boss and management )
On Friday 10Aug, I started work at Remax Tampines mall.I reached at 10.30am sharp but the shop is not open yet. I waited there till a guy (RuiHua) came and open shop .He was shocked to see me and say no one informed him that I’m coming to work.
The day start. He told me about those product warranty period and tell me to ask him any question. I started to explore the shop ,serve the customer do the cashier. But he keep saying I’m blur and ask me who introduce me in? I say the guy at Hougang mall. He say the guy at Hougang mall is the worst. why introduce this type of person to him.
I told him it’s only my first day , I will learn. I Served customer and they say they like my attitude and demo method thus bought from me. Ruihua keep went out of the shop and told me to take care of the shop for him.
I told Ruihua I wish to learn how to paste the screen protector since alot of customer is asking . But he refused to teach me. Afterwards he say working with me make him very headache.
From 10.30am to 10pm ,I have not go for any break or rest except went to the washroom once. Did my best to learn and pick up, Serving all the customer even my leg pain due to previous injuries, Everything went on so smoothly but Ruihua keep show that He does not like me.
And 10pm Ruihua passed me a $50 and asked me no need to go anymore. I was so shocked and he told me Don’t worry , Singaporean very easy to find job. Here not suitable for me.
Without wanting to talk further with me ,He went out and close the shop. I texted the HR immediately and ask so I no need go tomorrow?Hoping to get a reply or respond but nope. *Noted that the HR read my message only when the below incident happen.
On Saturday , I went down to Hougang Mall and find my sister. (My sister and my previous working location is infront of the Gadget Mix)
Told her about the matters and they all keep saying that impossible just one day ask me to leave and somemore just give a $50 for such long hours .
Just nice at that time, the Gadget Mix Area Manager name Yoyo( afterwards realised she and the Ruihua is married couple) came and the Gadget Mix colleague straight tell her this girl yesterday worked at your husband there but just one day asked her to leave. the first sentence that She said to me was that I bad mouthed about the Gadget Mix Colleague yesterday to her husband. I mentioned to her it’s her husband that said. Not me. But she insists that Im the one that put words into her husband mouth.I told her I just need a explanation from someone for asking me to leave since the HR is not replying ! She say that since her husband think I’m not suitable ,no need to waste each other time and $50 is very reasonable .
The gadget mix colleague also explain to her that at least need give few days for me to try,I didn’t did wrong anything and should not just by one guy judgment ask me to leave.
Yoyo say I also did salesline before so I should not come to their shop and quarrel with them! I did not…She the one that start to yell her voice at me. asked her so I know she can’t give me a explanation is it okay if she can pass me a contact that I’m able to get a response. She refused and firmly said what they did was absolutely right.I say it’s okay. I will ask others on Facebook whether it’s acceptable.
I went back to my sister shop and chatted with them . 10mins later , Yoyo called me over and passed me a paper with number on it, ask me to call the number now ..The number is the same HR number named Faye that I did not get a replies with. I find it no point anymore so I did not call and she reminded me again ask me to call now.. And my phone finally rang , the HR called once but I did not pick up.
*above mentioned person that I have interact with is all not Singaporean.
From last year till now , All the company I went have so less Singaporean. I start to wonder our country quota rules.
I just want to find a long term full time job.But I keep on hearing from those that sacked me without a reason , Singaporean easy to find job don’t worry. . So I can get sacked anyhow ,get mistreated anyhow..Since when this sentence became a excuse ? 😔

The whole field become a bangla-filipina picnic zone. Why not tell them to picnic at East Coast park or Pasir Ris park instead of a field juz next to an MRT station. It’s v unsightly to others. Can something be done abt this??
