Hi guys, we found this iphone while making a delivery in Toa Payoh Central this evening. The phone is locked with password and before we could do anything the line have been terminated so we can’t locate the owner.

We have lost our phone before and we understand how important the photos and memories are.

Drive my dad, 1.3 liter Proton Saga out to do hitch to cover cost on my way to attend a course.

There comes a rider, sat in the car and didn’t seem to be happy with it, our conversation goes like this:

Me: Good Morning, heading to Jurong East ya?

Rider: Good Morning, how old is your car. Me: 9 years old ( lt, a 2009 Jan Proton Saga)

Rider: So old, cramped, small and uncomfortable.

Me: (Getting angry but retained my cool): Oh I am sorry about that, how do I make your ride more comfortable? Rider: In future if your car is old, underpowered, small, cramped and uncomfortable, please do not hitch, (then she take out a notebook and wrote “Proton Saga,

Me: Oh ok sorry about that and we kept quiet till Jurong East. Along the way she kept on asking me about cars etc, so when we came across a Toyota Camry she said “This is the type of car that passengers want to ride on whether or not is hitch or Private Hire, if you can’t afford to rent or buy such a car, then don’t do Private Hire or carpool, you know how stuffy such small cars are?

She then showed me the book that she blacklisted all the “small and uncomfortable cars” while at a traffic lights, in her list were basically all the 1.0 -1.6 litres cars like Hyundai Getz, Perodua Kenari, Mitsubishi Colt etc.

In my mind I thought to myself, if my family is so wealthy, then I won’t even bother doing hitch already, I am just a random guy living in an old freaking cheap 4 room flat in Woodlands, how much is this rider paying for my ride? Not like she is paying $130 for a ride also, I mean it really hurts me to use a certain word but I wonder if really hitch drivers nowadays are using good and luxury cars? Anyone encounter such riders before?

WANT TO KNOW WHY CUSTOM ALWAYS JAM? SEE THIS

During the clearance, due to the time of design, the car behind was forced to wait for the train in front of the payment business, just can get to immigration counter to submit documents.

No wonder always jam. Drivers have to drove and wait and two separate points just to clear immigration. Nobody thought of combining these two stops into one ah?

The suggestion is to combine the business at one counter. Here’s my reality

Dear Ava,

it is obvious that there are self centred, selfish people in Singapore. The sight of stray dogs and stray cats, just wanting to survive,lying around also bothers them. Their basis of complaint? They are not cute. They are big size. They are noisy.

So why m i writing this?

I feel that if you find these complainants complain reasonable, and will accede to their requests and cull these lovely dogs and cats. I will like to file a complain about these complainants too as I find them very unruly, noisy and irksome. Pls direct me on where I can file such a complain to have them “humanely removed”. Thank you.

STRANDED IN MRT TILL 1AM ON CIRCLE LINE.

Hi,

I had previously written in to the SMRT feedback form on the website with regard to the service breakdown on the Circle Line that occurred on 19 July 2018 around 11.30pm. I boarded the train around 11.23pm and was stranded inside the train that was supposed to be bound for one-north but stopped several times between stations and was stranded until way past 1am.

I did not even manage to reach my destination (as with several others) and upon finally reaching the platform at Mountbatten station and the doors opened, the station staff chased us all out as it was already “end of service”, and improperly informed us that there were shuttle buses (with no proper guidance; we could not even exit by the main exits as the gates were closed – everyone had to board the elevators to be out of the station). But it was already 1am – way past the typical public bus service, and the shuttle buses never appeared after an approximately 20-minute wait, to the chagrin of many others – I had to resort to taking a taxi ride instead.

This nonexistent management of the train incident is unacceptable and to date I have yet to receive even a single response regarding this matter. Neither was there a public statement with regard to this incident – this should have never been swept under the carpet as if it had never happened.

I am still awaiting an appropriate response.

HELPFUL SMRT STAFF GETS THANK YOU FROM COMMUTER

To Siti, the wonderful staff of SMRT,

Siti, we want you to know how much we appreciate the excellent service we receive from you on a daily basis. Because of some physical challenges my husband currently has, you always ensure that he gets a seat in the train. You do this by squeezing through the super packed train and ask each passenger to give up his/her seat to him. Yes, I know, sometimes you get scolded for asking. Despite this, you do this everyday, without fail and with a smile. Thank you, Siti. You are a wonderful person, a gem and you have added a great deal of value to our traveling experience with SMRT.

To the management of SMRT,

We would like to give the highest commendation to your staff, Siti, who is stationed at the Somerset MRT Station, for her great service. Not only she’s well trained for helping passengers with special needs, she goes above and beyond in doing that! For this, we are greatly thankful. SAMURAI SWORD SLASHING INCIDENT AT LITTLE INDIA

Slashing incident @ Little India

A 27yo man was chased and slashed by 4 men.

Kitchen knife and a samurai sword was used in the attack. The victim was slashed on the back of his head, body, hands and legs.

The 4 suspects fled in a car after that.
