I have received quite a number of such “cheques” from Standard Chartered and think it’s quite unethical to send actual cashable cheques. Just thinking if this was sent to my parents who can’t really read English that well, they would have probably cashed in the cheque thinking it was free money and be subjected to all the loan fees. I may be overthinking but what do y’all think?

My bf gets angry or annoyed at every damn thing that I do!!! E.g. when I’m late for dates, or when I lost my phone (scolded me for being irresponsible), oversleep for work (I end up cabbing and he gets upset as he finds it a waste of $$), didn’t sit with him during church service, never bring him along for meetups with my own friends (they don’t bring their partners too so it’s weird if I bring mine)… etc.
I FEEL LIKE I AM PERPETUALLY WALKING ON EGGSHELLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been bearing with this for 1 year plus… It’s driving me crazy as I keep angering him and it seems as though I can never live up to his standards of having good behaviour / conduct.

Just found out that some of my ex-schoolmates whom I have not seen since they went to study overseas are back. Found out in a not so nice way, through insta stories where they had a meetup dinner, a few of them actually, without me of course.
Even though I wasn’t very popular, I recall them used to come to me to ask for homework advice and etc, also because my dad was one of the HOD, while we were waiting for our results, they would pretend to text me asking if I’m free and if my dad is at home, and then drop by my house, pretend to have some crappy convo with me and then as soon as my dad walks past, they would try to talk to him, ignoring me completely, and ask my dad for recommendation letters to get into some unis or more education path advice or some crap. I think they’re back for Christmas and New Year and should be gone after that.
Just felt that they are really crappy schoolmates or “friends”.

As the years pass by, i begin to realise how lonely i truly am.. no one will ever be able to understand nor accept the demons inside of me, and as much as it pains me so, i must come to terms with this fact. And so it continues, putting on that fake smile, the masks of lies that no one actually bothers to try take off.

As a guy who is not good looking at all, being in engineering really makes me look worse. Just like girls in engineering being said to have a multiplicative effect to their looks, sub-par guys like me have a divisive effect to our looks. We look even more crappy. Destined to be forever alone. What to do lel ? Plastic surgery
