The driver U-turn suddenly, causing my friend’s dad to run into the side of the Van and currently hospitalized for broken bone on left thigh. During investigation the van driver changes his statement saying he came out from the car park. Due to this accident ,my friend’s dad is unable to work for 3 months.

Dear donors, my name is Mandy, and please allow me to share with you the story of my mom.
My mom, Madam Koh, is currently suffering from vision impaired, diabetes, high blood and kidney failure, and she’s on dialysis 3 times a week.
My father walk out on us when I’m very young, and my mom have to work 2 jobs in the retail line to keep us afloat.
Her eye sight starts failing since 2005, and had gone through 5 times of laser treatment and 5 times of surgery, but eventually, nothing can be done to save her eyesight, which she becomes blind.
Her kidney had been failing during that time, but luckily, for the dialysis treatment, she has medisave to cover the treatment and we need not top up with cash yet. But eventually, when her medisave runs out, we will have to fork out cash payment.
So, every morning, I’ll send my mom to my grandma’s home first before I goes to work, and acompany her for dialysis every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evening.
I’m the only daughter, and we used to be able to have some subsidy from CDC that gives us about $200 per month, but unfortunately that had stop since I’ve started working.
I’m presently drawing about $1400 per month, but after CPF deduction, I’m only bringing home about $1100+ every month, hardly enough to sustain the family.
We are term as those working poor, and the forgotten bunch in our fast paced society.
All I wish is for my mom to be able to lead be more comfortable in her life, and I’m urging for some assistance to tie through the tough times that we have.
We had stay in our rental flat our whole life, and I only wanted something better for her.
Mead Johnson has been working with the Malaysian authorities to investigate reports of possible counterfeit infant formula milk powder in Johor Bahru. The retail searches conducted this past week were based on information provided by MJN and resulted from its own investigation.
The searches identified a small percentage of suspect product in a handful of retail outlets within a limited geography in Skudai, Johor Bahru. The only product involved is Enfalac A+ Step 1 in 1.8 kg box, with three foil packs in each box – and only those sold in a small number of stores in Iskandar Puteri, Taman Mutiara Rini, Taman Orkid, and Taman Nusa Bestari. An extensive market search has confirmed no suspect product except for this specific packaging format in this limited geographic area.
As noted, we are working closely with the Malaysian authorities. Retail searches to date have only produced 210 counterfeit packs, but the investigation continues with the objective of completely eliminating their presence. The Malaysian authorities have confirmed that they are actively pursuing the counterfeiting operation and that those connected with it will be prosecuted and punished to the full extent of the law.
Our investigation – and the recent retail searches – indicate that the incidence of this counterfeit product is extremely low, but we want to ensure peace of mind for our consumers. The easiest way to identify the counterfeit product is to examine the individual foil pouches. The genuine Enfalac A+ Step 1 pouches are a bit puffy. The counterfeit pouches are tight-fitting to the powder and have distinctive sharp creases on both sides that are not present in genuine pouches, as indicated in the image.
If consumers find pouches of Enfalac A+ Step 1 1.8 kg with such creases in product that they have purchased, they should immediately contact the Mead Johnson consumer care line at 1-800-88-3585 (Monday-Sunday 9.00am -9.00pm) to report their concern and receive replacement product.
If consumers have Enfalac A+ Step1 1.8 kg product that is no longer in the original packaging, they can also contact us for replacement product.

On 9 Dec 2017 at around 6.50pm, my son and I board SMRT Bus no 187 (vehicle plate no: SMB1399D) at Bus Stop ID: XXXXX. My son went to the rear of the bus while I tap my Adult Monthly Travel Card on the EZ link card reader and chase after him.
The bus captain shouted from the driver seat and informed me that my son had not pay for his bus fare. So I approached to the front to inform the bus captain that my son is a 6 year old boy and willing to show him supporting documents to ask for leniency because I did not bring my son’s Child Concession Card. However the bus captain was not interested and only informed me that any child above 0.9m in height will be required to tap Child Concession Card or pay a student cash fare.
In my heart, I always has a serious question. How does the bus captain able to identify if the Child Concession Card belong to my child when the card do not have any picture or information for identification purpose? Since this was the regulation and bus captain was not lenient, I informed the bus captain that my decision was to alight the bus with my son using the rear exit doors (since my son is still at the rear of the bus).
Just when my son and I were about to step out of the bus, the rear exit doors were closing. I had to pull my son to my back and cause him to fall down on the floor while the rear exit doors hit me. This was an accident and cause me to come up with 2 conclusions.
1) Bus Captain voluntarily causing hurt to his passengers because of his unprofessional conduct of ‘unhappiness’ by closing the rear exit doors to hit his passenger(s) and create an accident.
2) Bus Captain negligent for failure to ensure safety of his passengers alighting the bus and causing hurt to his passengers by closing the rear exit doors to hit his passenger(s) and create an accident.
I hope that SMRT will investigate this accident and get back to us.
