I AM ANGRY WITH MY BF BECAUSE HE DON”T REPLY MY TEXT INFRONT OF HIS COLLEAGUES

I’m with my bf for more than 6 years. He recently changed his job and I’m quite annoyed with his colleagues at his new workplace.

There was this incident that happened a few weeks ago where his boss and colleagues peeped at his phone. And just so happened that I replied him and my notification appeared and his colleagues started teasing him. Because of that, he muted the notifications.

Just a few days ago, I called him to check if he was alright because he didn’t reply me. Over the background, I could hear his colleagues teasing him.

Then today, he texted saying that he is watching a movie with his colleagues so he wouldn’t reply me. I’m thinking if he is ashamed of me as his gf? Or? And I’m also getting skeptical of replying him whenever his colleagues are around and it bothers me a lot that he takes their jokes so seriously.

I feel as though like I’m in an underground relationship. I don’t know how to approach this matter without hurting the relationship with his colleagues.

SG LOCAL UNI GRAD STILL FEELS LIKE A FAILURE DESPITE SCORING DISTINCTION IN HIS A-LEVEL!

0

I am 27 years old. My only achievement in this life is to score 5 distinctions in my A Levels and making it to university. Apart from that, I am just a failure.

I failed to excel in my professional work life. I look back to my 3 years of work and I don’t find anything substantial to be proud of. I am even unemployed now.
I failed with my own finances. I lose more than 50 percent of all my investments despite being in the this arena for work, studies and past interest groups.
I failed to be a good leader back in my national service days.
I failed to be a good friend to anyone. I don’t have any friends whom I hang out with frequently.
I failed to be a good boyfriend. I can’t protect the interests of my girlfriend and give her assurance that everything will be okay.
I failed to be a good son. As the only son I can’t give them confidence that in their old age they will have someone around to take care of them.

PLEASE SHARE HELP TO LOCATE THIS MAN WHO TOOK NETIZEN PHONE AND SWITCH IT OFF!

*PLEASE HELP TO SHARE*

I abhor online shaming and what not. But the fact that I’m posting this shows how desperate I am to retrieve my phone. So here goes.

I was working for a food delivery company. 3 days ago on 15/11/2017 Weds at around 8pm, I was due to pick up food from a stall in AMK Ave 3 Block 232 (I am the one in the pink/grey shirt). I came, collected my deliverable and left. To my negligence, I left my phone on the counter of the stall. When I realised and went back to check, my phone was already gone.

I am thankful to the store owner and a few other strangers who lent me their phones for me to locate my phone. However, this sneaky guy had switched off the phone briefly after acquiring it (you can faintly see that he did so in the video). He has a neat haircut, and was wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants.

The phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Black with 32GB internal storage. People who know me, know that I am a frugal person. I have been using this phone for the past 4 years. Bought it with my first NS pay. Went through ups and downs with it. Other than sentimental value, the phone also contains sensitive information (no I don’t mean p*rn). I do also admit that it is my fault for not applying a screen lock. My heart has been in an absolute wreck after losing the phone. I am unable to have 7 hours of uninterrupted rest at night.

So I appeal to you, if you do know this guy, or have any leads, please PM me. Also, please help and share for the chance to recover my phone increases as exposure increases.

I would like to thank Auntie Cat, supervisor of the coffee shop for rendering assistance and letting me view and record this CCTV footage.

P.S. From the CCTV, this guy came into the coffee shop from the car park. From the way he dresses, he looks like a taxi driver. However, I could be wrong and please take this opinion with a pinch of salt.

KKH HOSPITAL RESPONSE TO RECENT POST ONLINE MENTIONS OF THEIR DOCTOR SUSPECTED LAPSES!

A recent post circulating online mentions our hospital and doctor, Dr Peter Wong, with regard to the KKH Children’s Emergency. We have investigated the matter and are in contact with the child and family.

The facts are as follows: When the child was first assessed at the Children’s Emergency, she was found to have fever, but was otherwise stable. Our attending paediatric consultant, Dr Peter Wong, who is an experienced and well-regarded doctor, acknowledged the inconvenience caused to the family by the wait, and tried to explain to the parent that there were other patients who were more serious that needed to be attended more urgently and that the child would be attended to as soon as possible. The child’s condition was stable and she was not in danger. If her situation had changed or deteriorated, she would have been attended to promptly.

We understand that the patient then left KKH Children’s Emergency before further medical examination could be conducted. About 12 hours later, the child was again brought to the Children’s Emergency and she was assessed to be stable. She was admitted to the general ward and provided with the necessary care. She was discharged the following day and is now at home.

We have reviewed the case, and there were no lapses in medical care or patient safety.

The hospital’s priority is to provide appropriate and timely care to our patients. As such, emergency cases have to be given priority. KKH is committed to improving our patients’ experience, but parents and caregivers have to also play their part to be responsible and considerate to enable our medical professionals to perform their tasks.

SMRT CLAIMS THAT THE POST THAT BEEN CIRCULATING AROUND SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT TRUE!

Some of you may have seen this online report on SMRT (extract in the image).

This is obviously fake! How would SMRT have been able to complete the change out of all the power rails and 188,000 sleepers if staff count had indeed been cut so drastically?

Contrary to what is purported, under SMRT CEO Desmond Kuek’s tenure, the Permanent Way (PWAY) team that looks after our track and track-side infrastructure almost DOUBLED.
It grew from 206 staff to 395 staff from 31 December 2010 till 30 September this year.

The number of night shift workers also increased by 65% with more permanent night shift staff added to the North-South and East-West Lines in the same period.

The number of personnel carrying out maintenance work is even more when one adds external contract workers who augment the permanent staff on the tracks.
