Travelling? Do not follow suit

ICA officers found a total of 419 cartons and 378 packets of duty-unpaid cigarettes in seven suitcases in a Malaysia-registered car at Woodlands checkpoint on 10 November.

This method of concealment is a cause for concern as it may be used by people with ill intent to smuggle security items into Singapore.

Four male Malaysians aged 25 to 34, the duty-unpaid cigarettes and vehicle were handed over to Singapore Customs for further investigations.

Really no standard!!! This kind of guy should really be jailed for life!

At the beginning, he will say he like you. Want you to be with him. He will marry you and want you to give birth to his child. He will take responsibility. But when things happen, he just deny everything. Block you at Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and even calls too. After that, went into hiding and even worst mia! So far, two girls have been affected.

Ad a guy, you did not honor your words so you don’t expect me to honor my words!!! I have no choice but to seek advice on how to get my money back hence I approach legal debt collectors to help me. They manage to track him down easily. They spoke to him and he deny as usual. But somehow he agreed to make the payment on the first week of sept. But when due for payment, he deny and say won’t pay. Again, this drag until they visited his house. House owner say he is not home. How true is this no one knows. Until I approach his direct director for help. He assured me he will help me to settle and get back to me but no news till now. Yet, he still have the cheek to report police to say I harass him!!

I know he has been going around to play with girls. How many more are affected I don’t know. Have to share the post to see how many girls have been affected. If you are one of them, please kindly help to share your experience so that no other girls will fall for it again.

INITIATIVE BY NEA FOR integrated tray return systems with centralised dishwashing TO INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY!

0

In Dec 2017, Marsiling Mall – along Woodlands St 12 – will be home to a newly built hawker centre, while the one currently at Blk 4A Woodlands Centre Rd ceases operations. Residents will be able to look forward to 70 cooked food stalls, each double the size of the current stalls, and over 1,000 seats, offering affordable hawker fare to residents at Woodlands.

In March this year, NEA announced that it will progressively roll out productivity initiatives at our hawker centres. These initiatives include integrated tray return systems with centralised dishwashing (CDW) services in existing hawker centres over the next few years. Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre is one of these hawker centres, with the intention of reducing the hawkers’ workload and ensuring a steady supply of clean crockery even during peak hours, which could also help with the overall business of the hawker centre. While there could be some initial cost increases, NEA will co-fund stallholders up to 70% of the costs for the first two years and stallholders will only have to pay according to the amount of crockery and cutlery they need each day.

To allow for a faster turn-around of tables, Marsilig Mall will also have an automated tray return system where spatrons return used crockery to tray return stations allowing the cleaners to focus on table-cleaning. NEA is also providing a 50% subsidy of the increase in table-cleaning fees from Dec 2017 to May 2018 to support the stallholders. Such measures will not only improve productivity but also address manpower constraints and their associated costs. These initiatives are part of our efforts to ensure the sustainability and viability of the hawker trade.

NEA CONDUCTING CHEMICAL SPILL EMERGENCY RESPONSE EXERCISE AT SECOND LINK FROM 13-15 NOV!

0

The National Environment Agency (NEA), Singapore, and the Department of Environment (DOE), Malaysia, together with several agencies, will be holding a biennial bilateral chemical spill emergency response exercise on Wednesday, 15 November 2017, at the Tuas Second Link from 6.00 am to 2.00 pm. A rehearsal for the exercise will also be conducted on Monday, 13 November 2017 from 7.00 am to 12.00 pm.

The exercise will simulate a chemical spill along the Tuas Second Link where two vehicles (a passenger car and a truck) are involved in a collision. Arising from the collision, chemicals being transported by the truck started leaking onto the road. For this exercise, six chemical drums will be simulated to be damaged with some fumes released. The public is advised not to be alarmed.

Traffic diversion is expected during the dates and times stated above and motorists are advised to closely follow the traffic marshalls’ directions at the site.

Motorists are advised to avoid the Tuas Second Link when the rehearsal and exercise are ongoing to minimise any inconvenience caused. Motorists are advised to tune in to the Singapore radio stations for any traffic announcements. More on http://bit.ly/2ADIpp6
