I have seen a lot of threads on these topics but non of them seen to fit in exactly to my situation so I wish to enquire about this now.

So nght now I am 17 years old in a K as an Australian citizen and SG PR and going to do A levels next year. So I would roughly get back my resultslhave to collect from school) In late Feb 2019 while I would probably be called up to enter HS at around late Jan.

So my main 2 questions are, whether i would be allowed to leave singapore to australla somewhere in Dec 2018 without applying for an exit permit (II I dont plan to come back’ such that whether they would stop be at customs or something like that cos I plan to study um in australla and dont need to come back and my parents would migrate with me (both of them are an citizens as well’.

My second question Is Mat whether my parents would be pc-mused hint,, Mil term etc II one of them were to return to SG strand laW feb early march to go back to my school to collect my A level results cent and return to au:Praha agatn.
They would most likely cut ties with se such is selling their Mb and closing their col accounts before they leave so they wont need to ever return back to singapore afterwards as welt.

On 21st Sept 2017, After an exciting Court Session, eventually both me & Keong was stopped by Joyce Seah the legal wife of Keong outside FJC. She said she wanted to have a private talk with her husband in regards to her two kids. BUT UNFORTUNATELY I Definately Won’t allow that.

She has totally no ways to speak to her husband privately. Staring at him is no longer useful. Her legal husband ALLOWED ME to scream at her & he himself even shouted at her. When joyce questioned him why did he allow me to hurt his kids in this way.

Joyce, Please remember what Your legal husband said that day. Words came out from his own mouth. Also for you two to see and to know what Your daddy said. 我现在跟你和两个孩子已经没有关系了 !

Without any hesitation, Now the Flat he is living belongs to me. I CAN THROW HIM OUT anytime as long as I don’t get what I want or when things don’t go my way! TLDR, “boys crying about NS is a tool to shut down the conversation about male privilege in Singapore and is only one example of unfairness towards men, while women are disadvantaged in all other areas”

This came to mind because of a comment I saw today complaining about the “BUT NS” mentality on /r/Singapore.

Newsflash. NS isn’t a singular moment of oppression. It isn’t yes all women have felt harassed by perverts on the MRT, it is literally enshrined in law that all men in Singapore, barring severe mental/physical incapability be subject to two years of involuntary servitude with limited compensation.

I’d like to point out that even if all you did for NS was sit in an air conditioned office 8-5 with the best superiors, it’s still a shit deal that nobody would voluntarily subject themselves to.

That’s not even dealing with the social consequences, the attitudes of people towards NSFs, chao recruits, the way many of your female friends move on with their lives.

If you sat down and really thought about it, it’s an inescapable aspect of life for men in Singapore, and an extremely unpleasant experience that takes up a significant time of your adult life if you’re a young adult in your 20s (aka most of /r/sg, well that and teenagers/kids).

Why does this come up in gender conversations all the time? Because it’s relevant. Because it’s 2 years of your life, not a hypothetical mind you, but an actual reality, gone because of your gender.

You get studies like that showing that women get paid less than men in Singapore. For different work. How do I know? Because they didn’t count NSFs of course. Why not? I guess NSFs don’t have income because they aren’t workers, they’re slaves.

BUT NS!!! is only problematic if you’re trying to push a narrative of privilege. The argument that men’s rights don’t matter because men are privileged is all too common from certain nutjob organizations though, and it is these organizations/individuals that seem to have the biggest problem with “BUT NS” because it flips their narrative of privilege on its head.

Does privilege exist? Of course! But privilege doesn’t cut one way. It’s not a stick you should use to beat on other people and say I am oppressed and you are not. NS doesn’t mean women are more privileged than men in society and women should shut up about women’s issues.

I’ve been told to check my Chinese privilege. I was born in Malaysia, a country that’s openly racist against Chinese people, and we live in a region where Chinese are the minority. Should I therefore ask people to check their regional Malay privilege?

Sexism, Racism and any sort of ism isn’t black or white. Stop using those things to shut down conversations. Play fair. Play nice. It’s probably too much to ask for but we can hope.

I witnessed a helper hitting a girl with a long tree branch near Sunbird childcare (Sengkang) while my mum drove past but did not have my hp with me earlier.

The tree branch is longer and thicker than a cane.

The gal was crying and seated on the grass patch when i saw the helper whipped her twice. The school will try to identify and get the parents to call me. Location of encounter is near junction of Sengkang East Way and Rivervale Drive. Suspected residing blk 100plus or the landed near Rivervale Mall area.

Update: The mummy has messaged me for verification. She managed to see my FB post and the CC also got in touch with her. Just to share a bit (With approval from the mum)… mummy is currently pregnant and recommended bed rest. The mentioned gal has speech issues, unable to convey any encounters but will hit the helper and refused attention of the helper while the 4mth helper appeared to be nice in front of the parents.

She is found with some marks but generally ok now. The parents are trying to resolve this issue without alerting the helper.

The mummy and I want to thank all those who bothered and shared as well as the childcare centre.

Parents, please be wary of the well-being of your kids at all times and if anyone has a good helper to recommend to this mother who needs our help, please pm me.

Morning all! As you’ve known, my next-door neighbour’s house caught fire yesterday.

It was a very tragic day for the couple and all of us at 886B level 6.

2 of their cats died due to smoke inhalation and they are very distraught and devastated.

I’ve asked their permission and they have agreed to for us to do monetary contribution on their behalf.

Let us do our part to help them rebuild their lifes, be it small or big.

A quarrel between an 18 year old girl and her boyfriend, cook Daniel Douglas Windsor, 25, over their relationship, ended with the cook taking over control of the girl’s email and Facebook accounts, and posting naked pictures of her online.

Worse was to come, as the cook also ended up slashing a police officer, who seven months after the incident, still experience pain over his injuries. On March 6 this year, the couple had a quarrel over their relationship, and the girl began to ignore Windsor after that quarrel. To get back at her, Windsor, assessed her Facebook and email accounts and decided to change her passwords and upload nude photos of her. The girl had shared her passwords with Windsor initially, before they got into the quarrel.

Windsor proceeded to upload a nude photo an video of her on her Facebook on March 9 and 10, and the girl made a police report, afraid that more compromising photos or videos in his possession would be circulated online. The Police then enlisted her help to arrange a meeting with him so they can arrest him. On the evening when the police descended on his house to arrest him, Windsor was armed with a bread knife. In the scuffle that followed, he slashed Station Jimmy Tan Thiam Soon’s right bicep. The police officer suffered an 8 cm wound on his arm, and is still feeling the pain from the slashing.

Windsor was sentenced to six years and two months in jail and six strokes of the cane. He had previously been given army detention for drug consumption.
