A 12-year-old girl was found dead at 5.35pm yesterday evening.
Location: Blk 410 Sembawang Drive
According to reports, the girl who is a PR in Singapore jumps out of the window. The father who was in the same unit had no idea until police came to his flat and informed him.
Neighbours claim that the girl was wearing her school uniform when she commits suicide.
She was found by motionless on the grass patch next to the HDB Blk she stays.
The police are currently investigating this incident.
It has come to our attention that the different ticket pricing for our event last Sunday has caused some disquiet. We sincerely apologize for what happened and would like to offer an account of what happened.
The event on Sunday was intended to bring residents of MacPherson Zone B together, to catch up with neighbors and to promote greater cohesion and integration. As such, one of our objectives was to encourage new citizens to join community events where we have seen friendships forged over the years. We thought that a lower ticket price will encourage more new citizens to come forward.
In doing so, we have neglected the feelings of the majority of our residents. It was a once-off decision by our committee to charge differently and definitely not a policy of the MacPherson grassroots. We have absolutely no ill intent but we recognize that it was an unwise decision.
As fellow residents, we have never harboured any intent of discriminating fellow citizens. It is our mission to bring people together and we cherish the opportunity to volunteer and serve our community. This episode is an honest error in judgement on our part. We are truly humbled by this and thank everyone for pointing out how we had erred. We have learnt from this episode.
We are always grateful for the support that our residents have given us. We endeavor to continue improving ourselves and serve as best as we can.

I was craving for durians today, so my family head over to Chong Pang market fruits stall (the one with the tentage as shown in the post). The seller kept psycho us to get $18/kg durians but we ended up buying 2 @ $30 even though his attitude was bad (probably because we didn’t get the ones @ $18/kg).
I was the first to taste the durians when we got home since I was craving for it. To my horror, there were worms in the durian, faint ~ FYI, I didn’t notice till the second bite as I felt there were crunchy bits inside the flesh.
Went back to the same stall & told the seller about it. His replied was: 一个而已吗, 再选两个咯 (one only, choose another two durians lor). LOL f*ck you, who wants to have the second one after the worms have digested into my stomach -.- & the seller don’t even feel apologetic at all. So my dad asked for a refund since we don’t want to have the durians anymore. Another guy passed us the $ and said 拿拿 (take take). Lol hello, we don’t owe you anything. All we want is to get the refund as the incident of having worms already grossed me.
Yishunites or whoever buys fruits from there, just be careful. Please check the quality of the fruits before consuming. You may also consider to buy fruits from the opposite stall instead.

A maid got herself involved the loan sharks. Initially, the amount she got from the sharks were only $3000 and of course being loan sharks they told the maid to return $6000 double the amount!
The employer has been receiving multiple harassment text messages such as:
“You worker owe me money So call me back to setter asap If not tonight we will ask man go up you place to do something.”

Hello Durian Lovers
I ( unknown) was a durian seller for more 30 years since 1960’s.
I am revealing some durian sellers dirty tricks & the quality of the durians.This year the durians are very expensive & hope readers will decide after reading it.1) never buy durian from display packaging pack why? becos the seller will assemble overnight or half spoilt durians into packaging pack & sell at fixed price.Actually overnight durians are almost worthless & easily get bad.If the durians taste sour pls stop eating & throw away the pack.
2) pls do not eat branded durians like Mao Shan Wang/D24/red prawns & others why? the durian farmers will spray toxic chemicals at the tree roots/bark & durians to prevent flying fox/snake/insects & others from attacking their expensive durians.As a result you can hardly see housefly & ants at the durian stalls nowadays.
3) FYI I lost 2 good friends ( died from throats cancer) by eating branded durians for few years. I did warn them
😰 Just try to eat Mao Shan Wang/D24/red prawns & others you can straight away feel the burning sensation at your throat during your sleep or next morning.This indicate the toxic chemical are working.Another gd example to confirm the above that there are no housefly or ants attacking the durian packaging sale pack although the durians are very sweet. Just check it yourself.
4) pls buy durians without any pre-opening why? the durians fell from trees snakes/insects will try to eat/attack at any opening of the durians—not safe
Made sure your durians are open in front of you & any pre-opening pls do not accept as the sellers are always tricky. They try to pass the bad one to you & after all they are businessman.( I know all their dirty tricks like using hand gloves or cloth to cover the durians & pretend to open it——actually the durians are already opened or pretend sweet talk to distract you)
Pls check all your buy durians before paying( they can switch them very fast) & also check their weighting machines.After all the durians is like the price of gold.
5) pls do not eat any durian cakes/pudding/deserts as the owners buy the cheapest quality.

I notice that many of our drivers do not signal anymore on the roads. They change lanes, make turns, and enter and exit expressways without turning on the signal indicator lights.
I cannot understand why it seems so difficult to signal; it is almost effortless and will help road users to read one another’s intent. Is it ignorance, complacency or simply selfishness at play? Perhaps drivers think that signalling their intent to change lanes is the surest way of getting their path blocked.
I am not sure whether these drivers are aware that not signaling when changing lanes is a bookable traffic offense.

Dear all, please beware of this Grab driver. I didn’t believe I will tio this kind of punk till I kana from this driver.
He took my booking and he cash out 1 min later.
I found it strange why grab asking for my service feedback and give how many stars when I was waiting for the driver. Turns out he already deduct my money and close this transaction. Wah , I didn’t know I can go from Bedok to Serangoon in less than 1 min!
I called up Grab hotline and it turns out that this uncle, always trick the system and hoping customer wunt realise they have paid for the trip. Gosh. Uncle, u want to make money also not like this leh. Grab will return my credit in 2-3days or give me a credit promo code for refund.. Grab. #grabdriver #trickpassenger #smokesystem #chaogeng

WARNING: I was walking my dogs this afternoon around my estate car park when I stepped on something sharp. A 2″ long screw had pierced right through my sandal and about 1cm into the sole of my left foot. In pain and before I realized what had happened, I ripped off my sandal together with the screw. Needless to say, there was a lot of blood…
Luckily 2 men who were staying in one of the ground floor flats heard my cries and came to help. Upon closer inspection, we found that the screw was deliberately inserted into a lemon peel and there were more scattered nearby on the road and some in the grass. Altogether we found about 10 of them nearby. These have obviously been placed in such a way as to puncture car tyres but it is also extremely dangerous as people can step on them! There are a lot of families in the area and lots of children walk by as well. There is a children’s playground just 10m or so away for crying out loud!
The screw didn’t look rusty at least but I’m on my way to the doctors now for a shot. I’ll be making a police report later once I’m stitched up, though I doubt they’ll be able to catch the *ssh*le who did this…
Just to let everyone know that there are all kinds of bastards in this world so take care of yourself and your kids and watch where you step…
I’m in considerable pain, but otherwise fine for now.
This happened at 12.55pm, 30 July 2017, in front of block 113 TOA PAYOH LORONG 1, just along the service road in front of the lift lobby.
Will update if there are further developments.

Update: I got a Tetanus shot, some antibiotics, pain killers and a 3 day MC (not that I’ll be able to not go to work lol… the cakes must go on…). A police report has been made and they are investigating. Unfortunately the cctvs in the area only covered the stairwells and lift lobby and not the service road. Meanwhile they have said they will step up patrols in the area and be on the look out for more of such things. I encourage anyone who lives or is in the area to be vigilant and make a police report if you see anything similar.
