I went to this stall because of their signboard.

As I asked about the subsidy as shown, I receive the following reply.

The stall owner Aunty raised her tone at me with her angry pointed-up eyebrows, which look like an angry bird in red.

I asked about the written subsidy meal. She shouts :’ Government help one, I am private. Different, u dun understand??!!’

I told her :’ Your attitude is bad, I do not want to order your food.’

I walk to another economic stall. The boss explained I am not the 1st person to feedback on her bad attitude. He explained the boss of the stall is a PRC lady. She receives 5k subsidy assistance per month.
Isn’t this a 100% profiting business?
Why is so much help cater to prc, but how about local hawker entrepreneurs?

We have to go through approval n approval and check n checks.

I kinda felt the unfairness to other hawker entrepreneurs whom just start out their noble hawker business.

To start a hawker stall, a $30k to 40k is needed. His stall rental is 1.7k per month.

My outcoming stall rental is 1.8k.
Is a hawker entrepreneur life easy?

How many plates of rice do we need to sell to cover the basic cost price. The long working hours too.

My morning is indeed a memorable one.

Not a r/s expert here, but I once watched an episode of the Oprah show in which Steve Harvey was also on it. Steve was asked by a group of 6 women on where to find good men. He said men show love through the 3 P’s (profess, provide and protect) so if you’re independent, a man would have lost his function of the last 2 P’s.

 

But, I don’t think that he’s being “afraid” of you. I believe he was having or had the difficulty to find his (traditional) role. He wasn’t afraid of you per se, but afraid that he would be disturbing you (because you seemed perfectly fine without him).

And, I would like to think that this problem is further compounded by two more factors. 1st, women in Singapore are more and more financially self-sufficient. 2nd, the progress of both women’s and men’s mentality could not catch up with the progress of the 1st factor. I.e. women still think that men should make the first move (probably harboring the concept that the society is still punitive against women who display their sexuality openly) and men still think that they should be the superior party in a couple.

All these ultimately lead to the current social phenomenon whereby women keep attracting fkboys (because fkboys don’t really care about providing or protecting) and (good) men keep marrying later and later (? due to need to obtain certain social and financial status)

Rmb LKY once asked a PhD student whether she had a boyfriend? He was a wise man, he probably saw this issue way before I did.

CUSTOMER ASKED IF HALAL CERTIFIED. RESTAURANT RESPONDED ‘THIS IS NOT SAUDI ARABIA’

Was actually happy when they reopened, because my fiance and I used to frequent them before they disappeared for awhile without any notice. It really seems as per what a customer said in an earlier review – that they do not take pride in their eatery nor value their customers.

Yesterday I facebook messaged them to ask if they are Halal certified. My message was simple: “Hi are you guys halal certified?” The reply was shocking and upsetting: “Hi Chun. Why do you ask such a question. This is Singapore not Saudi Arabia. Anyway. You’ll be pleased to know that we are a pork loving restaurant. Peace be with you.”

Nope not going back anymore neither will I ever again recommend this place to my family and friends. �

What he did was wrong and he has disappointed his family.

I’m sharing this video footage tribute to bike owner FBJ432zeroZ…😡😡😡before going to the police station to make a report!

This incident actually happened yesterday morning to me 3/08/2017. I arrived around 8.45 am & park my bike at lot 23 behind a shop at blk 213 bedok north St 1.. to go bedok polyclinic with my partner!! After polyclinic I had breakfast and returned to my bike around 10.30 am….& wow lost my helmet which I clip at my handlebar!!

Thanks to you Mr FBJ432zeroZ!! my helmet is not that expensive but you is giving me all the trouble lost of income for particular day…and etc!!

How I got the video footage is a compliment to staff from that shop in Bedok …. he help me by providing his company address and contact…. a lady manager from the company help me!! Thanks to both of you!! you’re a great help and a good citizen!!! Thank you so much appreciate your help and support 😉😉😉! !

Man was seen resisting arrest with 3 Police officer. He also knocked down an officer while struggling.

It is reported a 41-year-old man attempted to escape after being stopped by the police for riding his motorcycle recklessly.

He started to turn violent after the police caught up with him trying to resist the arrest

Hope the police can do something about it. The SMS orignated from ‘INFO’ as the sender there is no number indicated in the SMS.
