IS LATE NIGHT ALCOHOL DELIVERY LEGAL? Hmmm

Our reader found a restaurant called Club July at Bishan that still delivers alcohol through UberEats after 10.30pm. “so UberEats restaurant can deliver alcohol to my house downstairs even after the allowed hours?”

According to UberEats’ regulation, retail outlets and delivery services are not allowed to sell takeaway alcohol in Singapore from 10.30pm to 7am. Singapore’s liquor law also states that drinking is banned in public areas after 10.30pm.

What do you think? Can or not?

TOA PAYOH HAWKER CENTRE FLOODED WITH WASTE WATER, NO COMMENTS FROM TOWN COUNCIL YET

On Wednesday morning, four stalls in Toa Payoh Lorong 7 hawker centre were affected by a blocked pipe, which caused waste water to flood the stall premises.

This was apparently not the first time that it had occurred, with one hawker saying that this occurs at least once every year for the past three years. The water that flowed out of the stalls was filled with food waste and had a layer of oil on top, and it gave off a pungent smell.

Being a hawker centre, this kept customers away, and the stall owners were also unable to carry out their business, as they had to do clean up operations. What does the Town Council have to say about this??

Gas disruption hits 1,305 households in 12 HDB flats at Jurong West!

Dear SingaporeUncensoreed,

A gas leak from a damaged underground pipe caused about 1,305 households in 12 HDB flats at Jurong West Street 65 to go without gas. The gas disruption occurred on Friday afternoon. There was also a fire that broke out at the void deck of one of the blocks as a direct result of the gas leak. Fortunately, SCDF managed to put out the fire.

Reports indicated that some work were being carried out at the underground pipe which got damaged. All affected blocks had their gas supply back on by 9pm. SP Group indicated that the gas pipes were switched off as a precautionary measure and to isolate the leak while engineers repair the damaged pipe and restore supply.

Wonder if the disruption of about 6 hours will lead to SP Group giving a discount for gas prices for the people affected? Not their fault the pipe were damaged, but over a thousand people were still affected and inconvenienced by the disruption.

LOAN SHARK SEND VIDEO OF BURNING HDB UNITS.(VIDEO) PREVIOUS HOME OWNER SABO

We bought over a resale flat about a year ago but we have been constantly receiving threatening letters from loansharks looking for the previous owner. It seemed that he did not change his address and had been using it to borrow money from everywhere. One of the loansharks even threatened to burn my house if i don’t pay up 1k close-case sum, and sent me video clips of how he burnt other units.

This case has been highlighted to police twice and even to our MP as we are very worried of our safety. We have CCTV installed and frequent police patrolling but it doesn’t ease my mind knowing anything could happen to my home anytime. This is the irresposible guy, please beware of him.

Dear friends, please help to share.
This is the most irresponsible man i have ever met, the previous house owner who sold his house to us 1 year ago but STILL using our address to borrow money from credit companies and many loansharks! His name is Larry Khoo Wee Tian and his wife is Jaclyn Chew Cai Ting.

It’s not the first time i received loanshark’s letter attention to him and this time a loanshark even tried to extort 1k from me and threatened to burn my house. I have reported police twice and alerted our MP Mr Baey who has helped in this case. CCTVs has been installed and frequent police patrols will be enforced with his help, however there is still fear in us that anytime, anything could happen. Unbelievable such evil man exist. I hope Karma strikes on you Larry.

FOREIGN WORKER HELP ELDERLY CROSS ROAD! THUMBSUP!!

I was at Stanley Street yesterday morning when I saw this foreign construction worker helping an old man cross the zebra crossing. The kind gentlemen offered the old uncle his arm for support so he can walk steady across the road.

It is such a nice gesture and I am touched by the construction worker’s kindness. Please share this good story with others!
