4 Caucasian tourists were seen busking illegally at Tampines bus interchange in an attempt to get Singaporeans to fund part of their round-the-world trip.
A Twitter user @sarahcoldheart has posted photos she snapped of the Caucasians performing at a corner of the bus interchange. According to residents in the area, the quartet had started to operate out of the interchange to beg for money since last week. After some dirty stares and competition with the existing local buskers, they moved their busking to the corner of the interchange where there were no local buskers.
The Twitter user says that she has reported their illegal busking activities to the police. Under the Busking Scheme, only foreigners on Employment Pass are allowed to apply for a Busking License.

Nowadays, people only make noise about Geylang but they forgot another place in Singapore that is full of “chickens”. I’m sorry it’s not Yishun.
The place is actually Joo Chiat, Many are unaware that the hookers that soliciting business on the streets of Joo Chiat is not only similar to Geylang and it also disrupts the business in the area.A restaurant that does not want to be named stated that the hookers will start their routine “modelling” outside the restaurant after 8 pm and it is affecting the business there. The hookers go around flirting with guys in revealing clothes.
This has not only disrupted the business there and also cause residents at the area to feel disturbed.
Most of the hookers at Joo Chiat are Vietnamese and with the rise of the hookers business has gone down as much as 30% because of families are avoiding the area to prevent bad influence to the kids.

A local study done to find out the effects of the haze on people indicated that breathing in the poor air quality is linked to an increased risk of cardiac arrests occurring outside of hospitals. The study was led by the Singapore General Hospital, and confirmed what many feared – haze is not just bad for asthma sufferers.
The most vulnerable group is men above the age of 65. So, to the Indonesian minister who said that Singapore should be thankful to Indonesia for giving 11 months of good quality air, should we also thank them for making cardiac arrest a high probability for men aged 65 and above during the hazy month?
This is no joking matter. For these group of vulnerable men, haze and poor quality air can be the difference between life and death.
