A 24-year-old man attempted to secretly bring in to Singapore more than 2,000 cartons of contraband cigarettes.He was caught with the tax unpaid cigarettes at multiple compartments of the bus he was driving. The was a Malaysian bus. He was caught on last Sunday.

Officers had coordinated search and ordered the vehicle to stop for further checks upon entering the Tuas Checkpoint at around 10pm. Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers found a sum of 2,041 containers and 60 bundles of stash cigarettes covered in an altered air-con pipe, an adjusted baggage compartment, and the rooftop compartment of the transport, ICA said in an announcement on Tuesday.

I am seriously peeved by the number of grab and uber cars pumping petrol at JB. The authorities should put a ban and check their fuel tanks to ensure that they have the required or in fact, full tank before exiting Singapore, there are just too many of these private hire cars using the customs daily just to pump petrol and this causes massive delay! Businessman like me always have to endure hours of jam just because of all these people.

Since private hire drivers are known to earn $6k monthly, that’s good income, so why are they still going in to JB to pump petrol? So much of them calling passengers cheapos or cheapskates, but aren’t they one of them?

If they find private hire cars is not doing well or earning a good living, they should just quit rather than using this as an opportunity to have a “free” car! The authorities should tackle this problem before it’s too late!

The car population in Singapore is increasing and accost ya and breakdowns are happening everyday, this is a very serious problem! We do not want our roads to be over congested!’

Hi Guys…i need help… U guys know those bangla who drove their rubbish cart around in HDB flats to collect rubbish..

this morning i was in a carpark turning in when this bangla cart just scratch over my taxi… who do i claim? he claimed he stopped for me to make a turn..but if he do stopped how did scratched my car…

damages is quite bad n im clueless how to claim..he refused to give me any particulars and keep saying i will put him in trouble….any good advice?

The Malaysian dishwasher who killed her landlord for turning off the power supply has been jailed for 3 years.

36-year-old Woo Mui Mee was convicted of causing grievous hurt to after slashing 76-year-old Wong Keng Woo with a paper cutter.

The incident took place at around 10pm at Block 114 Yishun Ring Road on 21 Nov 2015.

Woo, who has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, was renting a room from Wong at the time.

IMH  report found Woo had no insight into her mental condition, but if given proper treatment before release, her condition could be managed and she would not repeat similar acts in future.

The public was exposed to danger when an equipment at a construction side burst and caused wet cement to fly across the carpark at raffles hospital.

The wet cement landed on multiple cars that cause the car windows to shatter. Most cars get scratches while a few have shattered windscreens. The burst was so much that it almost landed at a traffic junction of Victoria Street.

Lucky no one injure.
