Following the emergence of a new video on social media detailing another teacher mistreating toddlers, allegedly at Kinderland Preschool @ Sunshine Place in Choa Chu Kang, a police report was subsequently lodged and a 48-year-old woman has since been arrested by the police.
The woman was seen in a video repeatedly hitting a young boy on the head before pushing him away, and the video quickly gained traction on social media with concerned netizens questioning the practices of the preschool and the safety of toddlers under their care.
Police investigations into the incident are currently underway, and it is the second arrest of a preschool teacher in Singapore this week.
This comes in the wake of another teacher being caught ill-treating children at the Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Mart and the arrest of a 33-year-old woman, who is set to be charged in court later today.
Hitting the toddler repeatedly on the head
The netizen who shared the video requested anonymity and said that this isn’t the first time that the teachers had been allegedly mistreating the children there, according to Telegram page SGFollowsAll.
In the video, a woman allegedly from the Kinderland outlet at Sunshine Place, Choa Chu Kang, was seen wearing a blue top and zebra-striped pants and being seated while surrounded by several of the toddlers.
One of the toddlers was a boy with a blue coloured water bottle in his hands, which the woman then forcibly opened as she shouted at the boy in Mandarin to “DRINK!”
The boy then puts his mouth onto the straw of the water bottle to start drinking, before the woman repeatedly hits him on the head as she appears to shoo him away from her.
The boy then staggered away from the woman with his water bottle in hand, and thankfully didn’t appear to be injured as he stared at the woman from afar.
