CCTV Captures Elderly Woman, 81, Kicked During Brutal Home Robbery in Malaysia

An 81-year-old woman was assaulted during a violent home invasion in Perak, Malaysia, after two men allegedly broke into her house before dawn and stole several belongings.

The elderly victim, who was living alone, was reportedly attacked inside her home in Kampung Baharu Selat Pagar, Lenggong, at around 5am on 22 July.

Malaysian police have since launched a manhunt for the two suspects, while CCTV footage of the robbery has circulated widely on social media.

CCTV Shows Suspect Attacking Elderly Victim

Footage shared online by the victim’s family captured the frightening moments when one of the intruders approached the elderly woman shortly after entering the house.

The suspect was seen grabbing her clothing before kicking her, causing her to collapse onto the floor.

Even after she had fallen, the man allegedly kicked her again as she lay defenceless on the ground.

The video also showed both suspects moving through the house, opening drawers and searching cabinets in an apparent attempt to locate valuables.

Suspects Allegedly Forced Entry Before Escaping

According to Malaysian police, the pair are believed to have gained access to the property by prying open the front door.

After searching the house, they fled with several of the victim’s belongings.

Gerik district police chief Superintendent Abdul Samad Othman said preliminary investigations indicated the suspects escaped in a dark-coloured vehicle displaying the registration number VMG 8433.

However, investigators believe the registration number may have been fake.

Police Continue Hunt for Two Men

Authorities are continuing investigations to identify and locate the suspects involved in the robbery.

Police have not disclosed the value of the stolen items or whether any arrests have been made.

The CCTV footage has sparked widespread outrage online, with many expressing concern over the violent treatment of the elderly victim and calling for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.
