An accident was recently posted on the Instagram page sgfollowsall where a boy complained about Junction 8’s management uncompassionate response after the ceiling dropped and hit the boy’s head which landed him in hospital. It was stated that after getting hit on the head after the ceiling dropped, he was offered drink before he was sent off by a staff.

So I just wanna share what happens to me at junction 8 on 5 January 2021. So I and my friends went there to have our lunch and after that, we went to the play area at level 3 to sit and chill. While sitting there a chunk of the CEILING fell on my head! I was so shocked and in excruciating pain, as it fell directly on my head. My friends were shocked but thankfully they didn’t get hurt as it only fell on my head….. Unlucky I know…
So my friend went inside the office to call management and complain to them what had happened and then a middle-aged men came out and asked if I was ok, I said no while holding my head as I was still in pain and he said ok, he didn’t offer any help and said let me get u guys a drink and after doing that he just sent us off.
As a 17-year-old, I didn’t know what to do or say at the moment so I didn’t really fight back or say anything and on top of that, I was already in a lot of suffering so I went home thinking I could sleep it off but I woke up at 3 in the morning due to the unbearable amount of pain and decided not tell my mom cause I was afraid so I went to the polyclinic first thing in the morning, after reaching there I was referred to the hospital so I had to inform my mom of what had happened and I was admitted the same day and had to do some tests and X-rays and given some painkillers as I was in a lot of pain and was discharged the next day.
But I’m still having headaches and my head is still swelled and hurts and now I constantly look up cause I have a phobia that the ceiling is gonna fall on my head again.
