A Certis Cisco Rider has been caught on dashcam footage for beating the Red Light in Bedok on the morning of 20 Feb 2022, a Sunday Morning.
In the video, it was obvious that the red light had been there for a while as the bus has been waiting for quite a moment for the green light.
Halfway through, the Certis Cisco rider can be seen moving forward and then cutting to his left while turning his head to keep a lookout for oncoming vehicles.
He then garnered his balls of steel to blatantly do a left turn while the light was still red.
Shortly after he beat the red lights, the light then turned green.
Netizens seek authorities to take action
Netizens who saw the video urged authorities to take action against this blatant act of defiance by someone who knew the law and yet broke the law deliberately.
One even joked that he might be a part time food delivery rider and must have forgotten if he was delivering food or enforcing the law at that point of time.
Here are some of the comments as seen in the comments section of the video
- Whatever reason What he did was wrong. Certis should take necessary action against the officer. Whatever the action taken by traffic authorities is not enough…the Certis took too further offence most likely to terminate the officer.
- For showing utter disrespect for the law that he should be upholding, he should be severely punished by TP. Hope TP investigate this offender.
- Enforcement personnel breaking rules how you expect general populace to respect the rules
- Daytime, Enforcement officer. Night time, Food delivery rider. Sky looks cloudy, he got confused, can’t tell if he’s doing day job or night job.
- He is not TP. There is no reason for any emergency that he would need to be there to break rules. He should be reported.
