CHAN CHUN SING: MOE WORKING WITH POLICE ON ALLEGED ATTACK @ RIVER VALLEY HIGH

Following the horrific alleged axe attack on River Valley High School’s grounds by a an alleged sec 3 student that resulted in the death of a schoolboy; Minister of Education Chan Chun Sing, took to Facebook to share his thoughts on the matter.

Chan said that the news came as a shock and that MOE’s thoughts are with the families of the students concerned.

He revealed that MOE is working closely with the Singapore Police on the investigations and will be sharing more details on the case in due time.

He reiterated the importance of the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff.

He summed up his post with a heartfelt message to all student:

“We will take care of you as always. If you need to talk to anyone, or know someone who needs help, please reach out to an adult, your teachers or school counsellors. You are never alone, and we will always stand ready to help you. CCS”
