A video emerged online showing a bunch of chickens picking up litter outside Pinnacle @ Duxton, thinking it’s food.
Among the litters were used condoms, used napkins, and cigarette butts, according to the netizen.
The netizen captioned the video:
“Litter which is picked up by the chicken. Zoom in on the litter and you will know what it is. Pinnacle @ Duxton. People smoking and throwing cigarette butts, napkins & now this condom.”
Potential penalties
Littering is an offence in Singapore and is defined as dropping, placing or throwing any article or thing in a public place except a rubbish bin.
Persons caught littering face a fine of up to $2,000 for the first offence as well as the possibility of Corrective Work Order.
Repeat offenders face a fine of up to $4,000 for the second offence and a fine of up to $10,000 for the third and subsequent offence.
