CHINA SENT 43 AIRFORCE PLANES INTO TAIWAN STRAIT, CLAIMS IT’S JUST “DRILLS” IN THE SEA

This comes in the wake of Beijing continuing its military activities close to Taiwan, which China claims as its territory.

China, in response, said that they were conducting “strike drills” in the sea and airspace around Taiwan, as they claimed that they are being provoked by Taiwan and the US.

Taiwan said that China’s drills were destroying the peace in the region and accused the bigger country of trying to intimidate the people of Taiwan.

7 Chinese navy ships were also detected near Taiwan, according to the Taiwan defence ministry.

Taiwan has deployed combat aircraft to warn the Chinese planes away, monitoring their flight with missile systems.

They (Taiwan) added that they want peace but if attacked, they will defend themselves.
