A woman in China posted a screenshot of her husband’s payslip online, in a bid to show off his perceived high income, on 28 July.
The payslip that she posted, showed that he husband was earning RMB82,500 (or SGD$16,899) from a company called China International Capital Corporation (CICC).
She captioned her post “The salary of my husband who was born in 1993, can this be considered our matrimonial asset?”
The woman also shared a photo of her with her husband, captioning it “a day of getting pampered by my trader”.
An investigation was then launched by the company into the incident and the man has since been suspended for “disclosing sensitive information to the public”.
Chinese news site Sina said that many brokerage firms in China restrict their employees from sharing their salaries online, reasoning that it poses a risk to the companies.
