Following the infamous drama that unfolded at the Oscars, Chris Rock has finally spoken publicly about the incident for the first time since it happened.
Speaking for the first time during his show at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston in front of a sold-out crowd, Rock asked the audience “how was YOUR weekend”, referencing the crazy weekend that he had.
He said that he is still processing what happened, so at some point, he’ll talk about “that s—“‘ he says that it will be serious and funny but right now, he’s going to tell some jokes.
The crowd then gave the 57-year-old comedian a standing ovation, to which the comedian said with tears in his eyes:
“Let me be all misty and s—, I don’t have a bunch of s— to say about that, so if you came here for that… I had written a whole show before this weekend.”
Rock then went on to tell jokes about Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Meghan Markle, the Royal family, and a host of other people, even revealing that he was planning to get a vasectomy the next week, but he stopped short of mentioning Will Smith.
