The ComCare is a fund that provides assistanct to low-income individuals and families, by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF).
The MSF has extended the ComCare assistance for existing beneficiaries by another 6 months, for those whose assistance ends between August and October.
Currently, there are around 6,000 eligible households eligible for this automatic extension.
In a Facebook post addressing the extension, MSF minister Masagos Zulkifli wrote that the automatic extension doesn’t require the existing beneficiaries to go down to Social Service Offices (SSO) to renew their assistance.
Masagos also added that: “If you come across individuals or families who require support, you can call the ComCare hotline at 1800-222-0000 or approach the nearest SSO.”
