ComfortDelGro announced via a statement on Facebook that with effect from 1 July next month, they will be implementing an additional 70 cents “platform fee” for all rides booked on their CDG Zig app.
Netizens and customers were up in arms and expressed their disappointment at the company for the perceived price increase and questioned if the money will be going to the drivers or the company.

We have been regularly enhancing our CDG Zig App with more services such as merchant deals, restaurant reservations and food takeaways, electric vehicle charging points and even private bus charters.
To continue to enhance the quality of our services to you, we will be introducing a platform fee of 70 cents per ride booked on the CDG Zig App from 1 July 2023. This also applies to limousine transfers made through the CDG Zig App.
More information about the platform fee will be available on our website soon.
