A video emerged online showing a blue coloured Hyundai Comfort taxi blatantly beating a red light at a traffic stop.
The incident happened on 19 January at about 9.33am along Upper Changi Road, in what is purportedly a school zone.
The red light at the traffic stop was seen to have been red for some time, as the driver blazed past it without slowing down.
Potential penalties
It is an offence to beat a red light in Singapore.
Drivers found guilty of failing to conform to traffic light signals face a composition fine of $400 for light vehicles and $500 for heavy vehicles.
They also face 12 demerit points and if a driver accumulates 24 or more demerit points within 24 months, their license will be suspended.
