A teary and heartbreaking start of our day. Our Spike was a hit and run victim. From the cctv video, we could see how he struggled his way into this premises and collapsed. He must have gone through a long and painful death. And what was even more painful was no one knew what to do with his body. We can’t blame the factory workers whom tried calling the relevant authorities but what they got from them was : “as long as the body are found within any premises with gates, they won’t be able to dispose”. So in the end, the workers have to dispose him off just like any other piece of rubbish that they swept up.
It is very painful to see how humans treat the dead bodies of animals. Even if our Spike was a stray, he definitely deserves a much more dignified way to leave when it’s time for him to leave. Our lesson learnt in a very painful way through Spike and I hope what I am suggesting here later will help us all in future.

(1) If you accidentally hit an animal, please dun just leave the place heartlessly. Please at least see where the dog is struggling to, inform SPCA or ask for help for people to look for the dog, or get off your car to see if the dog is still alive. If the animal needs medical attention, get him to the vet please. And if the dog unfortunately didn’t survive, please call places like Rainbow Paradise or Pet Mobile to help to remove the body in a dignified manner.
(2) For all stray feeders, do leave your contact numbers with the factories and even next door factories so that they know who they can call when accidents or mishaps happen to your feeding dogs.
(3) If you ever see any hit and run dog or cat bodies on the road or within your factory premises, please call kind hearted animal cremation places. I’m sure they will help to dispose the bodies properly at a discounted rate or even free.
I hope some to you here will help to share this with your friends so that more people will know what to do in future…. Every Stray Matters. Their lives are important. And their bodies do deserve a better way of being cremated instead of just being treated like another piece of rubbish. Do respect all life. Even if it is just an animal. If we can’t even respect a stray’s life, what kind of respect do you wish to see others to have in you.
