Dear students,
Keeping everyone at Kaplan safe is of topmost priority. Over the past few months, we have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and implementing measures in accordance with government guidelines, including twice-daily temperature taking and safe distancing, to protect students and staff at Kaplan.
Unfortunately, we have been informed by Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) on 4 April that one of our students in the Kaplan Foundation Diploma programme has tested positive for COVID-19.
The identity of the student has not been disclosed to Kaplan but we know that the student last attended a class on campus on Monday, 30 March from 6.30pm to 10.30pm at WE219 at Wilkie Edge. The WE219 classroom has undergone disinfection and cleaning and is currently not in use as we have stopped on-campus programme delivery from 4 April onwards and moved all lessons online.
We are currently cooperating fully with MOH on contact tracing. In the meantime, please do not be alarmed and avoid speculation.
Our thoughts are with the student and family. We wish our student a speedy recovery and stand ready to provide the necessary support.
