According to the Immigration & Checkpoint Authority (ICA), 100 packets of duty-unpaid has been seized by ICA officers at Changi Airfreight Centre on 06 Jan 2021.

It was reported that these cigarettes were hidden in snacks packaging. The contraband cigarettes were disguised as potato chips and french fries. The smuggling attempt was exposed after ICA officers noticed anomalies in the scanned x-ray images of the parcel packages.
The case was handed over to Singapore Customs for further investigations.
