The Committee of Privileges had published a full report and its recommendations with regards to a lie made by former Workers Party (WP) Member of Parliament (MP), Raeesah Khan in Parliament.
In summary, they had recommended that Raeesah Khan be fined $35,000 for her lies in Parliament and have referred WP’s chief Pritam Singh and Faisal Manap to the Public Prosecutor to see if criminal proceedings should be taken the both of them.
This was due to Mr Singh’s conduct during the COP meeting as well as Mr Manap’s refusal to answer to certain questions asked.
The 1,180 page long report also included several Whatsapp exchanges between the WP Leaders and Members which showed the whole incident of after Raeesah Khan admitted she lied and how the group dealt with it.

This was on the day where Raeesah had confessed that she lied in Parliament and prior to this she had already told Sylvia Lim, Faisal Manap and Pritam Singh about her lie on 8 August 2021 and on 10 August Pritam confirmed with Loh Pei Ying and Yudhishthra Nathan that Raeesah had told him about the lie in parliament.
Raeesah was questioned by Mr Shanmugam on 4 Oct 2021 where she repeated her lies again.

This exchange between them was one day after Raeesah had admitted to lying in Parliament and a WP internal committee was set up to investigate.
