A 34-year-old man was arrested following a harrowing incident at his 9th floor residence at Block 218A Boon Lay Avenue.
He had reportedly locked himself in a room and threatened to hurt his 2 children, a 6-year-old and a 8-year-old, following a suspected argument with his wife.
According to Mothership, the police received a call for assistance at around 6.45pm on 20 August.
The SCDF, SOC and officers from the Crisis Negotiation Unit were deployed.
2 safety life air packs and rescue nets were also deployed by the SCDF and rappellers from the DART team were also on standy.
The man was finally arrested at 121.40pm for criminal intimidation after the police successfully entered the home at 11.40pm.
No casualties were reported.
