According to a media release, a 40-year-old woman was charged in court on 25 Nov 2020 for multiple offences. Her offences include intentionally causing hurt to others, Illegal confinement and being a public nuisance.
It was reported that the woman has locked her fiance in her house after suspecting him of cheating. While locking her fiance up, the woman called “999” 23 times with an hour making false police reports claiming that someone has pretended to be her fiance.
In the process, she has also told the police that she was ill-treated by her fiance. The police responded to her call and arrived at her unit shortly after. However, the woman refused to open the door for the police upon their arrival.
Causing hurt to others
On 03 Mar 2020, the woman has gotten into a fight with a 74-year-old man after the man asked her to pay for a pack of milo that she took from a mosque. The woman of accused of causing hurt to the elderly man after throwing a chair at him during the dispute.
In a separate incident on 31 Oct 2020, the woman has intentionally kicked a nurse while she was at the hospital. The root cause for her action was because she was not happy with the nurse after she was told not to squeeze on the bed with her fiance.
