An intriguing video emerged online showing a huge crocodile carrying the body of a boy who drowned in a crocodile-infested river in Indonesia, and “handing” it over to rescuers.
The deceased, Muhammad Ziyad Wijaya, was reported missing 2 days before the incident, near the Jawa Estuary in East Kalimantan.
The video, which was shared on Twitter by netizens, showed the crocodile with the boy’s body on its back, and swimming through the waters of the Mahakam River.
The crocodile then dropped off the body near a boat, where two rescuers then pulled the body aboard.
There were no bite marks on the boy’s body.
