CUSTOMER ANGRY AFTER COFFEE BEAN BANS STUDYING & USE OF LAPTOP AT OUTLET

Facebook user Cai Xianglong recently posted on the Facebook page Complaint Singapore after he was told that it was prohibited from using his laptop at Coffee Bean.

Hi guys, good news! We will not be allowed to chill in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Singapore anymore.

I visited the CBTL branch at railway mall and the manager immediately ask me if I am here to work upon seeing me with my laptop. I told the manager that I am here with a friend to discuss some things, she immediately tell me that I am not allowed to use laptop in their shop.

Me and my friend just want to look for a place to chill and chit chat but was shocked when the manager told us “their NEW COMPANY POLICY” and showed us the way out of their shop. (Refer to attached screenshot for their “NEW COMPANY POLICY”)

It is 3.20pm in the afternoon on friday and the shop is not full of customers. I never intend to use their power point or wifi too. I am not sure why the manager reacted in this manner but I figured out maybe “SHE” does not need my business, so i politely move out of her shop and visited the toast box beside.

I visited the CBTL branch at IMM in Jurong East area 2 days ago but the manager / staff did not react in the same way as that manager at railway mall branch!

It is time to rethink where we spend out money and give support for those businesses that require our support.
