
A customer of Koi had a nasty bubble tea experience after she bought a bubble tea from Koi outlet located at Nex shopping mall.
According to STOMP, the woman bought a bubble tea during lunchtime and while she was drinking, she chewed a hard object instead of bubble tea pearls.
This was when she found a yellow fingernail in her bubble tea. She felt sick and disgusted after chewing on to the finger, the woman then contacted the Koi outlet that sold her the drink. Koi has offered the woman a exchange and a full refund.
According to the Singapore Sale of Food Act, food sellers are to ensure that the food is safe. Any company that found convicted of serving dirty or contaminated food can be suspended or fined.
