The customer was alleged to have been waiting for 2 hours and used the chat function in the app to deride and scold the rider, demanding he hurry up with the order.

The Grabfood rider responded that it wasn’t him who was delaying the order and that he too was waiting for the restaurant to finish preparing the food.

He added that he was freezing because he was drenched in the rain enroute to collecting the customer’s order.

He also added that customers should feedback to the customer service if they are unhappy with the service instead of asking riders to rush on slippery roads.

He summed up his post saying that riders’ safety was more important than delivering food quickly.
