The incident took place on 8 July earlier this year at about 9 am at the traffic junction of Irwell Bank Road and River Valley Road.

He was cycling across a traffic junction when he noticed a car had stopped beyond the stop-line and got angry, before spitting at the vehicle.

He pleaded guilty to one charge under the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act of spitting in a public road.

The incident was captured on the dashcam of the vehicle and the video was then shared online.
